We discovered Julie's kitchen last October and were AMAZED by the quality, freshness & flavor of the food.! The Spring Rolls are the best we've ever tasted. I've tasted spring rolls in Thai restaurants in Prague, Sweden, London, Bristol. LA. SF and nothing comes close to these! Had the salmon salad when it was still on the menu, it was incredible. Since then tried the miso soup -excellent, tiger shrimp starters-very tasty, the pineapple rice is delicious, the Massaman curry also was really good, Spicy eggplant delight and Julie's Pad Thai really wonderful.
We've eaten there a few times and EVERY time really enjoyed our meal.
Julie was there cooking the food and she's a wonderful host along with her serving staff.
The last we were there we ordered to go. Julie wasn't there and it looked like some students were cooking. We ordered the Terriyaki salmon and the Pad Khing. Both were completely bland, the sauce tasted like boiled mildly flavored water and had way too much liquid even though my partner ordered Thai hot salmon. The rice and noodles were lumpy and all clumped together. The salmon was really overcooked and tough.
The food tasted so different it was pretty evident by the flavor and the texture of the food that Julie wasn't there. We threw most of the food away.
Our last meal was so disappointing that we won't be going back.
One thing, the Spring Rolls alone are really worth the visit.
Hope the issues we encountered are sorted out as this is a wonderful place to eat when the food is prepared Julie's way!
