Boyd Lake is a pretty lake, good sized for being so close to town. They have a nice RV park that provides water and electric but no sewer. There is a dump station and washer/dryers in the RV park. Boating and fishing are allowed. There is a swim beach that was closed for much of the summer. The fishing is pretty good, trout and bass. There is a nice hike around part of the lake. There is a snack bar that holds summer hours. The grounds are well kept. The restrooms are clean. A yearly pass is pricey for Colorado state parks but the day rate is reasonable. There are plenty of places to get food and ice before entering the park. Nice restaurants nearby. It's a nice place to spend the day or camp overnight!
