Our kids just moved to Louisville from Texas, and it did not take us long to discover Lucky Pie Pizza. We all LOVE pizza, we're vegetarians, and I am gluten free. Talk about limited options!!! Lucky Pie has by far the best gluten free pizza around, especially if you like thin crust. We visit our kids every couple of months or so, and I always get two or three pies while there. To me it is somewhat expensive...but I think that is the sticker shock anyone coming to the Boulder area from TX is going to experience. We usually get it to go, tho dining there in the evening, esp. during the summer can be a great experience if you love people watching. But then, you will also have the temptation of going next door to the fabulous ice cream parlor for dessert, but hey is that really bad???

Luckypie pizza is a busy place on Friday nights in Louisville for good reason. They do other items besides pizza on well rounded menu that specializes in a few great things, but the pizza is outstanding. There is one size choice, 14 in, I think which was plenty for the two of us. Excellent flavor, fresh grated parm as well. We also took part in a couple beers from a good selection. The beers weren't our favorite and felt like the descriptions weren't quite right, but it happens. Service was really good. The place was packed when we arrived yet we didn't even finish our1st beer before we were seated. Looks like they have a great outdoor area for the summer. Conveniently, there is a yummy looking ice cream place next door too! The overall atmosphere wouldn't be called cozy, but the food and beer are worth it. We felt the prices were fair for the quality.

The pizzas are delicious. We had a large party so we sampled a variety of pizzas, pepperoni, sausage, white pizza were all excellent. The Caesar salad was delicious as were the braised brussels sprouts. The place is roomy and the staff is young and well-trained. Worth going out of your way for.

Likes: I liked that there was gluten-free pizza available which was very good. My family could not tell the difference between the regular pizza and the gluten-free pizza. We had Popeye – spinach, fontina, mozzarella, grana podano, pecorino, garlic, olive oil $13
Pepperoni – salumeria biellese pepperoni, mozzarella, pecorino, san marzano tomato sauce $13
Wild Mushroom – hazel dell mushrooms, arugula, cipollini onions, mozzarella, white truffle oil $14
Gluten-free Popeye – spinach, fontina, mozzarella, grana podano, pecorino, garlic, olive oil $13 and OMG, all was delicious!!

Dislike: Table service wasn't attentive.

Great thin crust pizza, some of the best I have had anywhere. Nice selection of beer. Took the waiter's recommendations for draft beer and we were glad we did. Very friendly service and very good value. Atmosphere is more fast food than good restaurant, but the food makes up for it. Would go back in a heartbeat.
