Went here around the Christmas break I didn't,t know there was such a nice and serene place this close to where I live. It was beautiful and not very crowded the day we went.

We didn't get much time to go through the park since we went toward the end of the day. However, one of the great things at this park is that you don't have to go far down the trails at all to get spectacular views of the scenery. We picked this park because we wanted one close to Denver, but we didn't really know what would be out there. What we found was really worth looking at and we wished we had time to return another day for a longer hike. There seemed to be quite a few trails. One thing that might be a minus to some people (and a plus to others) is that no dogs are allowed. It looks like a place dogs would enjoy, but they are not premitted in the park. This is a great option for people who don't want to go too far out of Denver and at $7 for a car full it is also a great price.

Roxborough is a beautiful park. Great trails, outstanding rock formations, visitor center, parking lot. Lots of wildlife, at the right time of day.
Bring you walking shoes and cameras.

A lot of locals have never heard of this park, let alone visit it. My grandson saw it and said, "AWESOME". That pretty wells sums it up. Red rock formations--wildlife--history--views. Take your camera--you're going to take a lot of pictures.
