This a facinating look back in time with live animals, two homes and people dressed in character. I go at least once a year and its always a stop when we have visitors.

A Living History is portrayed by "residents" of the 1860s and 1890s farms. Beautiful presentation of Littleton history and history of the southwest. Smithsonian designation.

Great grounds to walk around with animals, original buildings with re-enactors. The museum has a good history of Littleton plus rotating exhibits. We enjoyed the current Mapuche exhibit as well as the "Own a Piece of Art" in Nov 2012. Their gift shop has some nice items that are reasonably priced.

The museum itself has rotating art exhibits and a permanent exhibit of life in Littleton through the years. The building is surrounded by a 19th century farm with barns, corralls, etc. and the animals that inhabit them. There are also farm houses and a one-room school. An absolute treat! I go there many times a year. And it's FREE!
