My sister and I went here for dinner on a Friday night. Call ahead if you don't want to wait an hour for seating! The hostess was a little rude when we first got there.

The restaurant was very loud and it was hard to hear conversation. Our server was very nice however and polite.

The food was okay. I had a hamburger with mushrooms and swiss cheese. We also had the garlic fries as an appetizer and the house margarita.

All in all, the atmosphere was quaint and the food wasn't terrible. I probably wouldn't go back but it was a good experience seeking out a new restaurant that's not a chain.

Sometimes you don't need anything fancy to have a great lunch. Merle's was clean & bright. The waitress was quick & efficient. The coffee was fresh & smooth. The Asian stir-fry salad was tasty & the added steak was tender and a good portion. Jalapeno cornbread was a bonus. Good value too.

The burgers are good, but the fries are salty, limp and greasy. Service is fine, but all the waitresses tell you it's "No problem" to do something and that they'll "Grab that" for you. It's like going back to high school.
My wife enjoyed her salads, and the iced tea refills were generous. All in all a decent meal, but nothing to recommend.

Worth a stop for breakfast and lunch. Impressed with the food and service. Nice friendly atmosphere. Prices were good for the quality of the food. Would recommend it to others.

While dining at Merle's the other day, we noticed that we were being filmed by a (supposedly) professional cameraman while we had our (very average) meal. After we asked the cameraman to stop, he got very excited until the management pulled him out of where we were eating - but they continued to film other patrons. There was no apology from the management and they never asked permission or even told other patrons what was going on. This is an example of the lack of management skills and the generally poor way this restaurant is run - for the convenience of the staff and without any real consideration for what the patrons might want. There have been other restaurants opened in Littleton recently, and those restaurants and bars will get my patronage in the future. Merle's is not worth visiting if you want a good meal or decent service.
