“Great Place for Hiking”
Reviewed June 10, 2014

While traveling we went here to do a little walking. It was a great place. Beautiful location and wonderful well marked trails. There are lots of trails - we took one that was about 2.8 miles. It was moderately strenous going uphill and some steeper declines but very doable in just tennis shoes for liesure fun. It is a free park.

“Get that back country feeling close to Denver!”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

Deer Creek Canyon Park has over 13 miles of trails that are mountain bike, hiker, and runner friendly. Pets are also welcome. The trails consist of more technical and rocky (a section called The Wall is steep and very challenging--if you don't use the stairs) to softer dirt and pine needle covered trail. The trails wind through beautiful meadows and a few short spurs lead to fantastic overlooks of the Denver Metro area and surrounding foothills. If you venture more a than few miles in from the parking lot, you can really feel some solitude--especially during the week.

There are flushing toilets, a drinking fountain and nice parking available at the trail head.

This a great place to experience the natural beauty of the Front Range.

“My favorite hiking spot - Dog Friendly!”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

We keep coming back to Deer Creek Canyon Park - its a moderately challenging hike that you can make even more difficult by taking a longer trail or less challenging by just doing the loop. Our dogs LOVE going for a hike here - they do have to stay on a leash for most of the hike since it is a pretty popular spot and occasionally you will see other hikers or bikers. The views are just spectacular. Highly recommend this hike.

“Drive through every day... nothing to dislike”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

I live up the hill from the park and every day offers a beautiful view as you emerge from the valley. A lot of great views of the Denver metro area without a lot of burdensome/strenuous hiking. Several trails and good to snow shoe along the trails as well.
