The Pastime is a bar that serves food, although we always feel comfortable taking our 10 yo in for lunch or appetizers. It isn't ever too busy when we are in and the service is friendly. The Pastime is a very historic place. The food is pretty good and consistent - famous for hamburgers. The 10 yo always eats the whole thing and loves it.. The veggie burger isn't great but for a non-meat eater there really isn't any other choices. The fries are delish and the appetizers are good typical bar type food. Popcorn machine, beer by the bottle only, cans of soda, pool tables, TVs and make sure you bring cash because they don't accept check or credit.

Always try to stop in when we are in Leadville (which is often).

Rated 19 out of 19 for a reason. Veggie burger over priced and not cooked. Server was very good. Hamburger was just ok.

Go here for the history, be charmed by the service, and walk away with a full belly. The food was good - cooked to order, and served on a large platter with all the trimmings. Very friendly staff who brought out all sorts of historical information when I asked questions. The bar, mirrors, and many other elements are original to 1878.

This bar seems to be a hangout for locals, and we were the only out-of-towners in the room. Regardless, we were warmly greeted and served a delicious burger. They accept nothing but cash, so be prepared.
