Have bought their coffee for years-everyone has a preference- I personally like their roast-not over roasted like some national chains. Wide assortment of teas and spices as well as Coffeemakers, French Presses, Grinders etc

I buy my coffee to grind at home from the Village Roaster--they have a great selection of coffees and are really knowledgeable about where they come from, how they are made and what they taste like. It's also a great place to buy coffee and tea related products--nicely curated.

The Village Roaster is a great spot for coffee and teas. I tend to forget about the robust flavor of their coffee until I have gone somewhere else or asked my wife to pick some up at Costco (which is really not bad either, just not nearly as fresh and "lively" of a taste as the Roaster). They are very quick to help with selection and any questions and always have a very personable/friendly attitude. They hand roast their beans; I think they are roasting one bean or another daily- and it shows in the taste and flavor.

I have known the owners on a first name basis for some years and even after not being in the store for a while, and seeing them, again, both Jim and Kathleen remembered me by name. I am not saying they will remember every customer individually, but I would not be surprised if they did have a very good working knowledge of all their customers.

If there is a knock on the Roaster, it is the lack of space for sitting or spreading out. I have had some meetings here and just felt a little uncomfortable in the setting, but frankly, if you just wanted to have a seat, assuming there was one available, and drink some coffee, it's fine.

Finally, if you are a coffee affectionado, then this a wonderful store to help you experiment and try different blends or brewing methods.

You will agree it is a wonderful "find" in the middle of Lakewood.

This is a great little local coffee shop. Friendly service. Little crazy in the morning as the municipal complex is right around the corner so alot of people in and out for their morning coffee. Great place to people watch though.

This little coffee shop not only has great coffee and teas, but you can find specialty gift items here as well. Coffee/tea pots, mugs, candies, cookies, dishes, and greeting cards. There are nice tables inside and out to sit with friends or just read the paper, and the staff is always cheery.
