“Beautiful outdoor experience for every month of the year”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

We are fortunate to have this beautiful park with trails, fishing, swimming, and a visitor facility in a suburban area. We have biked through the park many times and taken family and friends there to enjoy the lake for swimming, boating, and playing on the beach.

“Wide open spaces.”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

Nice place to hike, ride a bike or just sit and take it all in. Located near town so it is easy to get there and has plenty of trails.

“A Lake on the West Side of Town With Plenty to Do”
Reviewed November 29, 2012

So lovely to be able to play in the water on a hot summer's day - and lots closer than Chatfield or Aurora Reservoirs.

“Cold water, but good during the week.”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

This is a small lake, but if you go during the week, it's not terribly crowded.
There are good bike paths. There are several running competitions held here during the year, including the Yeti race in January--fun!

“Stay Away! Kidding!”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

This is a tough endorsement because I so enjoy the solitude of this park. That said, BC is very close to our home so I visit the bike trails several times on a weekly basis. There is no fee for bikes so I would recommend parking on Morrison Road and riding in. The roads and bike paths are nearly empty M-F so that's when I ride. I have heard the weekends are much more crowded, especially around Soda Lake. Absolutely love the place and encourage you to see it for yourself.
