Description: We are open from late May thru late Sept. Our menu consists of pizzas (only one size - 16 inch - feeds 3-5 people), calzones, pasta, sandwiches, salads and desserts. We also have a 10" Gluten Free pizza and we have GF bread and buns for our sandwiches. For drinks, we have fountain drinks, iced tea (sweet and unsweet), beer (gluten free also), wine, fruit tea smoothies, specialty coffees and shakes. We also offer a dine-in special from 4-6 pm every day which consist of a cheese pizza and a pitcher of either beer or soda for $15.75. We have indoor seating as well as tables on the front deck and outside open dining with a great view of the mountains. As you enter, you will get a menu and be instructed to sit wherever you like and when you are ready to order, proceed to the register where you will place your order and pay at that time. You will be given an order number which will be called out once the order is ready. We prepare the food in the order that orders are taken and they are prepared fresh at that time. We do not jump tickets in order to do the easier ones or ones that take less time to prepare. We also do not have pre-prepared items. Occasionally, we will have some extra pizza slices prepared which can be bought immediately without having to wait. When we are in the busiest time of the summer season (late-June to mid-August), it is not uncommon for our customers to wait between 30 minutes to an hour for the food - just trying to be honest. The majority of our customers tell us that it is well worth the wait. We do not deliver but we take phone orders for carryout. During the same time frame mentioned above, we offer an "All You Can Eat" breakfast for $6.99 From 7:30 to 10:00. We shut breakfast down promptly at 10:00 so we can prepare for lunch which begins at 11:00. Please call to verify our closing times which vary depending on the time of the season. We also close on Sunday so we can go to church and have our day of rest. Please come by and give us a try. We would be glad to serve you.

A beautiful hole in the wall restaurant. Great food and the story behind Poker Alice is quite interesting. The food is fresh and it's fun sitting off one of the main roads through town and watching the traffic that comes through.

“This Place Has Changed, SLOW Service, Food Made my Son Sick!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2014

We loved this place when we visited Lake City in 2012 and 2013. Now Poker Alice should be renamed Pokey Alice because it is SO slow! It took us over an hour to get our sandwiches! My oldest ordered the Tilapia wrap----don't get this!! He ended up having some serious stomach issues for the rest of the day, and into the night! My Caesar salad was okay but was just covered in cheap Parmesan cheese and cheap croutons. The BLT sandwiches were average, the chicken club was fast food quality. The kids meal Mac and cheese was good and the drinks were good. Otherwise, $55 later for a lunch that made one family member extremely sick and we now say no thank you to returning here for any meal. So sad, because we really liked this place in the past!

We are so sorry that your latest experience did not live up to your expectations. And, we are sorry that your child became ill that day and if it was something that he ate at our establishment, we sincerely apologize. As far as the long wait, we process the orders in the order that they are taken and if we have a lot of people coming at the same time, it does take time to process the orders. We have had one of our cooks out sick for a couple of weeks which puts additional pressure on the remaining cooks to process the orders in a timely manner. Concerning the other items that you ordered, we are confused by your comments on the quality of those items. We are purchasing the same ingredients for those items that we have purchased for the last 6 summers and have had no other negative comments. Again, we apologize that the food was not as good as you were expecting but hope you would consider visiting us again.

“Slow, overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2014

I ordered cheese pizza and chicken sandwich plus milk and 2 sodas at 2:03 pm on a Saturday for near $30. Order was finally ready for pick-up at counter about 1 hour later. The restaurant was busy but not crowded.Disappointed in quality and speed.

Ate here twice on our trip. Once for pizza and once for breakfast. Alice offers gluten free options for pizza and breakfast. Both very tasty

“Poker Alice pleased!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2014

We weren't looking for fast food, so didn't mind the time it took to cook it fresh. The pizza slices were huge, the veggie calzone was scrumptious, and there were good gluten-free options for the one in our party who needed that accommodation. We'll go back if our travels find us once again in this beautiful area of Colorado!
