“Fantastic bungalow, ideal for kids and pets, excellent location”

A well presented and equipped self catering bungalow. Excellent location and perfect for kids and dogs. Sandra went above and beyond to ensure that we had a thoroughly relaxing stay. The secure garden is great for kids and dogs and the off road parking is an added bonus. We were literally a stone's throw from the beach and the fabulous Wavecrest Café. The bungalow was clean and well maintained and the location was just perfect. We had a thoroughly relaxing holiday and have already booked to return. We would not hesitate to recommend to others. Thank you. The Hayes family.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. We welcome you back at Meadowcroft Church Bay.
The garden is one of the many things we fell in love with at the bungalow when we first went to view it many years ago, but also the space inside. It is in a convient place for good food twhen you dont feel like cooking But best of all the beach 2 min walk away. We are glad to share this wonderful place with people like yourself to enjoy a restful
break. Again thank you so much for letting us know you had a great time at Meadowcroft.

Regards Sandra

Stayed here for a week. Been here a few times now and we love it everytime we go. We always bring the two collie dogs with us. 3 decent sized bedrooms, one has a bunk bed for children, one has two seperate beds in it and the main bedroom has a really big bed. Each room is clean and tidy when you arrive. The kitchens great with a fridge, oven, freezer and cutlery. Everything you need is in this cottage from an iron to a hoover. It really is a beautiful place to stay over. 10/10 rating for us and we go as a family of four with 2 dogs. Its a dog friendly place to stay!!

“Perfect cottage by the sea”
Reviewed October 5, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Stayed here for a week and it was everything we wanted, 2 minutes walk from the beach, amazing sunsets, enclosed garden for the dog to roam free, peace and quiet. We loved watching the birds on the bird table and sitting in the lovely well kept garden. The cottage was spotless and well laid out.
We did have an issue with the kettle as it seemed like it was on its last legs and so we just used a saucepan for brews. That was our only niggle really, so its not really an issue. We did accidentally leave a pillow there too so the next guests will benefit from that haha.... we were looking forward to having a nice meal in the lobster pot but that was unfortunately an awful experience and my wife spent the night in agony from the food and we were shocked she wasnt throwing up but shes got a good constitution so luckily she didnt but she was very ill for at least 12 hours after eating there, so we decided to just stay in the cottage and enjoy home cooked food for the rest of the week.
We really didnt want to leave this place as it was so lovely though and the amount of stars we could see on a clear night was a wonderful sight to behold, you dont get stars like that around here, too much light pollution, so that was a real treat. All in all a fantastic week in Church Bay. Thanks to Sandra for letting this little hidden gem out.

Hi Stephen, Thank you a wonderful review. We are glad we get to share our lovely spot in Church Bay. The stars are quite a magical sight without the street lights to spoil the view, like you say.
Sorry you had a bad experience at the Lobster Pot. I am sure this is just an isolated event. But there are lots of places to eat if you fancy something different.
We would welcome you to come and stay again.

Regards Sandra

“Ideal for families, felt like home, we will be back!”

Meadowcroft is the perfect family accommodation in a perfect location in Church Bay. We stayed with our 6 month old baby, and my parents joined us with their 2 dogs for a couple of days.

The bungalow has all the facilities you could need, a large kitchen, decent bathroom and a cosy living room leading to the dining area round the corner. There is a beautiful garden (visited by pheasants) and a summer house with a view of the sun setting out to sea. The floor to ceiling window and sliding door let in sun all day long, and open out onto a separate patio area. We were amazed at how clean the bungalow was despite dogs being allowed to stay.

The set-up is more for a large family rather than groups of adults. There is a double bedroom, a twin room and a room with bunk beds. A cot and travel cot are provided, along with a sturdy high chair, nappy changing mat, toilet training seat and toys, e.g. a box of Lego.

Meadowcroft is situated a couple of minutes’ walk to the main beach and coastal paths. The Wavecrest Café is just down the road, which serves hot drinks, cakes and main meals to eat in or take away to the beach. We would recommend stocking up at the butchers in nearby Cemaes Bay, and there is a large supermarket 20 minutes’ drive away in Holyhead.

The owner, Sandra, is very quick at replying to messages – we needed to contact her when we arrived, and she responded instantly and resolved our query.

We really missed this homely bungalow when we got back to our house. We have never returned to anywhere we have stayed before; however we are definitely coming back to Meadowcroft, and we cannot wait!
