Went to celebrate wedding anniversary and as ever it proved an excellent choice.

This place has been going for 50 years I believe and never fails to please when you visit. The décor maybe a bit 60's, although it has been painted since we were last there.

The starters of local crab were a delight, we both had lobster as a main which was delicious and a good sized portion each. The accompanying sauces were delicious and the veg excellent. The raspberry and shortbread pudding was first class as was the service throughout the meal.

Not only do they serve fish and seafood but there was also a good choice of meat dishes available,

Great view from the window next to our table where we were able to watch the sun setting

My boyfriend and I decided we'd go here for a Saturday evening whilst we were staying in Church Bay for a long weekend. I was a bit skeptical after having read some of the reviews on here about the staff and setting but I was pleasantly surprised. From the outside it did look like your Nan's house but the atmosphere inside was great. It was very busy! We knew we were going there to try the whole boiled lobster so we both ordered one as our main and shared the whitebait to start. The starter was lovely, just the right amount for the two of us. When the Lobster arrived it wasn't dressed in anything but was served with vegetables and chips (we ordered more chips later on without a further charge). It was lovely - although it might have been improved by being served with a garnish of some sort. We were both pleasantly full afterwards and enjoyed the evening. The waitress could have been a little friendlier but that didn't spoil it. I'd recommend this to anyone that enjoys seafood - some of the other dishes people were having around us looked fantastic! Hopefully we'll return.

Not many places to eat quality food near and around north west of the island, we arrived at the lobster pot Friday 6th Sept 2013 .My wife and i felt it is was a little dated, ok, a lot dated. The main part of the restaurant was nice but the waiting area and coffee room were terrible, it was as if you were in the 1970's. May i just say that our lobster meals were lovely, and starter of white bait were great too. For how much the food and wine cost ( 90.00 for two) i think was a little steep, considering the poor surroundings. The staff were all really polite and service was also good they even asked if you wanted more veg which does not often happen.

We visited this lovely restaurant again last week. We have read a few poor reviews, mainly when people have turned up without booking, and been turned away. The staff are always delightful, we have never experienced poor service. Meals, some of the best we have ever tasted. Booking recommended, especially in summer. If you are in the area, dont miss out on one of the best resaurants around.

Been here twice now. Looks small from the outside, but inside is another story. The food is fabulous, I've had lobster on both occasions. Service is attentive and you get the feeling the food s prepared with love. Would highly recommend. Not cheap, but worth it.
