My husband and I drove by several hours before eating at Los Amigos and were somewhat in "awe" :) of the eclectic, rustic exterior! Guess what? That exterior doesn't do justice to the "gem" of an eatery within. I had the Los Amigos special taco salad with steak. There was enough marinated, tender beef to justify the total sald price; beef that was flavorful and cut into perfectly bite-sized pieces. The lettuce was crisp as were the bell pepper pieces (sauteed al dente). The shell was flaky, golden, and fresh. Perfect. My husband had the beef tamale platter and he was as happy with his food as I. Oh, FYI: We asked for extra salsa and our waitress said absolutely no problem...and "would you like more tortilla chips with your salsa?" (you've got to love a place that cares about making it's customers happy!). Los Amigos is a great place to eat, have a beer (their selection is super), or just have some good food (especially if you're a " healthy carb-deprived" skiier, boarder, or snowmobiler). We'll definitely go back when we're in the area.
