“Lovely little lake”
Review of Keystone Lake

We have a condo at the Wild Irishman in Keystone. This is an easy little walk from there. The loop around the lake is gorgeous. You have great mountain, ski slope and wildflower views. Unfortunately most of the little businesses have closed down, I'm not sure why. There is still a pizza place and a nice sit down restaurant that allows dogs on the patio. During the summer you can rent paddle boards, paddle boats or kayaks. The lake is also filled with huge trout (I've never seen anyone fishing though). In the winter it becomes a beautiful ice skating rink. I've never seen it crowded. Busier in the winter though. It's a short walk from Keystone village and gives you a sense of mountain peace and calm.

Very relaxing! The lake was small enough to walk around in 5-10 minutes. You can play on the playground, feed the fish/ducks/geese, rent a paddleboat, reant a paddle board, play on the little beach, eat, shop, or just walk around and enjoy the area. It was secluded enough that it didn't ever feel crowded, but close enough to anything you would need. There are roads and trails connecting the other areas of Keystone if you don't want to drive.

This lake is at the center of the resort behind the keystone lodge and across the road from the conference center. There is an underground walkway from the conference center. There is a little beach with paddle boards and paddle boats. It is a lovely walk around the lake.

We came to kayak but rented a paddle boat instead. It’s a small lake but very cute. It’s a safe place to learn to kayak or paddle board.

The fish are visible from your boat and are HUGE!
