Came here with a large group. Would rate the experience well above average. Room was very large and comfortable. Very good facilities. Wifi in rooms worked very well. On the downside, service, while firendly, was not always very competent. Restaurant was rather expensive as well. But, as a whole, would recommend this experience and Keystone.

I hope the manager reads this review. This hotel is really decent even though aging. (see below). The main issue is the staff. Those young employees they hired are extremely unfriendly and rude. The girls at the Spa are especially rude and unpleasant. They answer your questions with disdain and rudeness. The hostess at the lounge/steakhouse lacks the basic manners. While we were enjoying the nice fireplace in the evening she was walking around whistling loudly and yelling jokes through the room to her friend the bartender. We were embarrassed watching her roll her eyes at every customer who dared ask a question and they were usually senior citizens. I felt like going straight to the manager. The valets , "concierge" and housekeeping people were on the other hand nice and friendly. But definetely something needs to be done about the culture toward guests at this place. They should understand that we pay their salaries and not the reverse!

Room furniture is old and unmatching but comfortable. The rooms are clean and very large with a nice balcony. The TV is archaic and needs an immediate change! Some light bulbs were out. Shampoo and soap were of good quality.

The SPA is expensive. Nice Steam room, hot tub, Sauna, out door hot tub and swimming pool access available free of charge. The hot tub is very weirdly located, you have to look around the swimming pool (lukewarm water) to reach it and get out of it!!!! The hot tub is just next to the maitnenance room so instead of enjoying the silence and view you are listening to the humming of the engines.

Food is expensive at their restaurant. Two salads and two beers for 45$.

Valet is 14$/day or you can park on your own cross the state highway. (there is a communicating tunnel).

Finally, why would anyone go to Keystone when there is Breck 20 minutes away. There is no decent restaurant in the whole area and the skiing is ok but uncomparable to Breck. This hotel in particular is expensive for what it offers. You have to take a shuttle to the slopes or drive and there is nothing walking distance from it except the lakeside village that is DEAD in the winter or at least was when we were there!

We were originally booked at the Inn at Keystone. After unloading the car, we were informed that we were being moved to the Lodge and Spa since the Inn was overbooked. We packed the car back up and drove to the Lodge and Spa only to learn that our room would not be available until 6:30 PM. The room was fine and the location of the hotel is good but the service was inexcusable.

We chose this hotel because of the Rock Resort status. There was nothing really wrong with this hotel, but it definitely doesn't measure up to other Rock Resorts we've been to, or to other hotels at this price point. As others have mentioned, it looks a bit outdated and has very little charm.

Our room (loft suite) was spacious and had spectacular floor-ceiling windows on both levels, with great mountain views. However, it was not at all luxurious or stylish, and the lighting was inadequate. We also had problems with the heat control. There was no room safe. The staff was friendly and attentive, but at times, there were not enough of them, particularly at the Bell Desk/Valet Parking.

The location is terrific, by the side of Keystone Lake, about a half mile from the ski area base. The Steakhouse restaurant at the hotel was pretty good. The pool/hottub were nice and the spa looked very nice (although we're not spa people). By the way, both the hotel website and the brochure have a spectacular and very enticing picture of a stone fireplace in a lovely sitting room. What they don't tell you is that this beautiful room is at the Keystone Ranch (I think affiliated with the hotel) about a 15 minute drive away.

It wasn't terrible. It wasn't great. I'm not sure if I would go back.
