Had a fantastic time at Keystone last week. The runs were very long and well groomed. How can you not love Schoolmarm and Frenchman? Lift lines were non-existent. Loved the gondola to keep warm. Prices are high for food on the mountain, so BYO:)

Just returned from eight weeks stay in Keystone. Have skied most of North America and found that Keystone has the best overall package. Keystone in family friendly with two learner areas, magic carpets and a learners lift. The resort is made up of three mountains, each one behind the other. The River Run Gondola takes 11 minutes to the top, from there you can ski back down to the front side on blue and green runs or ski to the second mountain where there is blue and black runs, from the second mountain skiers can then go on to the third which also has blues and blacks. I have found that because of the set up of the mountains learners and lower intermediates are filtered out leaving the third mountain to the advanced skiers. This is also a great advantage to the learners and intermediates as they don't have more advanced skiers on their runs.
The base area-shopping and restaurants have everything a skier needs. Parking is close to the lifts. For those who don't want to carry their skis the resort supplies small wagons to put the skis or children in.
The snow conditions at Keystone is up there with the best. Their grooming is terrific and when needed their snow making is second to none in Colorado. Although Keystone does not get as much snow as some other resorts the quality of the snow is the best around compared to nearby resorts. I think this is because of the sheltered tree runs. Other resorts can get very high winds that destroy the snow. I have skied on numerous occasions two resorts in one day and Keystone most days has overall better conditions.

Anyone who has ever been to Keystone knows that it is a great place for families. And for families who are looking for a less expensive, less challenging activity than the downhill slopes, there is the Nordic Center which is less than 2 miles from Keystone Village. The trails are lovely, well maintained and there is a sledding hill! The lodge for rentals also serves food most days and the staff is super helpful when it comes to rentals and which trails to take.

The skiing was great and lift lines were not bad for a holiday weekend! The prices for lift tickets were a bit high compared to other places. The food on the mountain was very expensive. I suggest bringing your own lunch!

This place is the best for snowboarders. They have mega huge terrain parks for all abilities. And the lodging in Keystone is super cheap for families visiting from out of state. All my snowboarder friends ride here. Breck is flat, Loveland is windy and has a lot of flat areas, and ABasin doesn't have a lot for snowboarders. Ride the 'Key!
