“I love A basin!”

Great and gorgeous skiing. Challenging terrain for this black diamond girl and great cruisers for the course skiers in the group. Great guest services, gift shop staff skilled and knowledgable, mtn guides with great ski tips. Perfect mtn to swap out gear or trade parents if u have young kids. Stunning views!! Well marked obstacles. 119 for the 3 day pass in the season pass office is a great deal! Our family and group will be back.

Unbelievable conditions and prices!!! 3 days for $120 at 14,000 ft! From East Wall to West this place is amazing! For a special treat go on Gaper Day otherwise known as April Fools day! You won't be disappointed .

“Great Spring Skiing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

I went to A Basin to do some spring skiing on a Sunday. The trails were nicely groomed, the people were friendly and the skiing was fun. The only complaint is there was no cell service up there unless you had AT&T. Do be sure you pay attention to the time as the last shuttle bus is at 4:30pm.

“Great ski lesson values, simple rental packages”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

Compared to other, somewhat more upscale resorts in the area I think A-Basin presents a very good value. They have very reasonably priced half-day lesson, lift ticket, and rental packages. I had not been skiing in a long time and this was my first time skiing in Colorado. I had a great instructor who was able to work very well with the group and give each person individual attention.
I would echo other comments about the altitude. A-Basin is pretty high up and I was struggling a bit after a half day. Even my friends who are more avid skiers and a bit more acclimated were having trouble. Give yourself a day or so to get used to the heights before overdoing it. Locals also recommended Copper Mountain for having lots of runs for beginner level skiers.

“Great Late Season - Spring Skiing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

This is an older style ski area with all of the basic amenities one would expect, however, without some of the pretentious "glitz" found at some of the more developed ski resorts. We had great spring skiing, and more snow is on the forecast. Many of the other ski resorts in Summit County have already closed for the season, and A-Basin is projected to be open through mid-June.
