You need to be aware that these are privately owned condos. Some people have put a lot of work into them and others have stayed with the same setup as when they were built in 1986. If your room has a murphy bed be aware that the rest of the room may have not gotten much updating either. A murphy bed room also means you have a sofa bed for the other sleeping arrangement. Not the best bed in either case. Also be aware that if you book your room through Keystone Property Management you will receive daily trash and towel service with more extensive cleaning after night 4. Other property management companies do not provide daily trash and towel service. Overall Slopeside is great if you want to be close to the smaller of the two base areas at Keystone. Mountain House was the original base area and you can realize that by looking at the age and character of the buildings. Great underground parking....it is nice to load up the car in a gentle setting. You don't have to clean off any snow before you depart! Some condos have decks but you won't find bbq's. Also realize that the whole building is non smoking - even the garage. Easy to walk to the lifts, daycare or the ski school when things are in full swing. If you book early or late season be sure to ask if the lifts are running on a full schedule as they often close the lifts earlier at mountain house on the shoulder seasons. That happens on night skiing nights also!

Room Tip: 2743 has been remodeled contact Keystone Property Management. It is on ground floor. 2771 has a full kitchen, top floor, but I have no idea how you get around the sofa bed when it is a bed...contact Summit Cove Property Management.

Like everyone says, the location is great next to the Peru lifts & ski school. No need for busing it anywhere. If you don't plan on spending too much time in your room, then these are perfect. There are lockers on each floor for your skiis and underground parking that's warm. As some other reviewers say, small (Murphy) bed, thin walls and thin floor above. Maybe bring some ear plugs. But do enjoy the location for the great price.

If you're planning a ski trip and would like to be close to the lifts, this is a good option. It is a short walk to the Peru express lift at the Mountain House base. You can either take the shuttle to the River Run lift area or take the Peru lift and cross over via the trails. We never took the shuttle...just simply followed the ski trail to the other part of the mountain.
The room was decent with a mini kitchen which included a little stove, microwave and fridge. The room had two beds...one queen size bed and a queen murphy bed. The murphy bed mattress was not very comfortable. The room (2574) was not as clean as we would have expected. Lots of dust/dirt in the lower area of the nightstand (looks like it hadn't been cleaned for some time) as well as on the window sill area. The room was hot at night...didn't appear that the temperature control worked. Ski lockers are provided which was great after a day of skiing and the private garage was also a plus. Bottom line...good place to stay for a ski getaway...would recommend getting a larger room than studio for space.

We booked slopeside condos in Keystone through Southwest Airlines because we could make meals in our room and it was close to the ski area. As it turns out, it was a good value for the money because you are right across the walkway from the peru lift and a huge ski school area. There are ski lockers in the building for you to use so you don't have to carry your skis all over the place - which was awesome. The parking under the building was great and it is really easy to get in and around town. The only things that I would comment on is that our room was incredibly hot and we slept with the windows open every night, the basic housekeeping was very basic, like bringing you fresh towels - that's it, the pillows were terrible and the bed very small BUT in our room there was room to sleep 6 people in just a studio room. If you are on any floor but the top floor you WILL hear everything above you ;-) If none of those things bother you - this is an AWESOME location to stay

The location is great. It is not at the River Run Gondola lift but it is just at the bottom of the Peru lift at Mountain House base. Easy, short walk to the lifts. Has 2 large hot tubs for apres ski relaxation and lockers for ski storage. When you book make sure to a request a "gold room". because they are condos they are not all the same size or quality. I stayed 2 different weekends in February 2012 and had 2 very different rooms. One had a murphy bed and the other had a huge king bed and balcony. same price. Either way these condos are a win. good prices and great location. oh yeah, also - they are condos but they have maid services that comes daily with fresh towels and to take out trash - great perk!

Room Tip: ask for a Gold room
