I purchased season tickets to the Candlelight, so I have been there several times. Every time the food has been poor, and the acting pretty good... depending on the actor at the time. The tables are small and one feels crowded. The venue is beautiful... it is a lovely theater. The service is good and venue is clean. Lots of stairs, so not very handicapped accessible.

This theater is lovely, and the seats all provide good views. I have been there twice, and felt the food, drinks, and shows themselves were OK, but not for the inflated prices charged. This isn't a reflection on the servers who showed a lot of enthusiasm---just the operation in general. However, if a well reviewed show comes up, I would give the Candlelight another chance.

We enjoyed seeing "Mame" onstage to celebrate my parent's 54th Anniversary. The food was tasty, but nothing extraordinary. The servers (also actors) were pleasant and friendly. Since the drinks and dessert are not included in the ticket/dinner price, you'll end up with another hefty bill at the end of the night and they'll remind you several times to include a big tip. The show was well done, but the main actress seemed rather annoyed with the fact that she was in the show, rather than portraying the gusto that Mame cries out for. And her red dress was too small--I kept hoping she would not spill out onto the stage. However, the cheesecake dessert was lovely and we had a great time, despite the expense. It's a fun way to celebrate something special, but certainly not an every week venue. The building itself is nice and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The pit musicians were wonderful--we especially enjoyed the music.

When this venue moved from !-25 in Denver to Johnstown it was built as a dinner theater. Not a bad seat in the house and the performances are very professional. Love the place. Just wish it was closer to me.

For how much you pay for tickets to dinner and a show, the fee here is not worth it AT ALL. The food had no taste, was cold, and looked like it had been popped in the microwave for thirty seconds and called good. It was hardly edible. We ordered 5 different choices at my table and only had one good thing to say about any of the entrees, even after ordering new ones. The only things that were decent enough to eat were the rolls and the mashed potatoes but you can't really mess those up. Plus, as with most dinner theaters, drinks are a separate charge, but here not even coffee or soda is included in the ticket fee (which is something outrageous in and of itself). The staff were nice and the show was decent (we saw Oliver), but it was apparent they were not being paid very well and there was little funding for decent props, scenery, or costumes. Definitely not worth the money - the Boulder Dinner Theater is leaps and bounds better. I have no positive reviews about this one and was extremely disappointed.
