Stayed one night. Walls were thin and people next to us were loud, so it was really annoying, no fault of the people that run the hotel. overall a decent place to stay. we arrived late, and the key was in an envelope near the office. no problems with the check in / check out. the only complaint is the noise, and we were there primarily to sleep, so that's why i'm giving the 'average' rating.

Chose the property based on reviews here, and was not disappointed. Check in was efficient and friendly. Room was nice, with microwave and fridge. The vent fan was a little loud, but not enough to interfere with sleep.

The walk up to the restaurants on 'main street' was about 7 or 10 minutes. Just be careful once dark, since you may be walking close to the street.

We had planned to do one of the zip lines the next morning (two brand new companies doing this in Idaho Spgs), but neither of them were running in the morning. Seems like they don't run if they don't have a quorum of people to ride.

As a visitor from Texas staying in Idaho Springs for the "Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half Marathon 2012" I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay at Columbine Inn. Although right on the main street of town, I did not hear street noise. The wonderful trees, landscape, flowerpots and deck area made it feel secluded. The room itself had all the ammenities I needed. It felt cozy, quaint and safe. The staff was very pleasant, friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in Idaho Springs in order to be close to Mt. Bierstadt, which we climbed during our stay. It was just under an hour to the trailhead from this inn. The Columbine Inn is surrounded by a grove of aspens and secluded from the road, unlike the other motels in town. The owner was friendly during checkin. The room we stayed in had two queen beds which were incredibly comfortable. The down comforter was amazing. The ac was easy to control and effective. There was cable tv and a phone in the room. The sink was pretty small and the shower pressure was great. The fan in the bathroom was loud but it didn't bug me.

It was about a one mile walk into the "downtown" historic district. We ate a mountain pizza at Beau Jo's and it was great! Also, try the Chinese place just across from the motel. Do yourself a favor and also check out the Soap Shop!
We loved our stay--Idaho Springs is a charming town in the mountains.

Loved everything about the place, except the bathroom fan! That was the loudest fan I have ever heard...lol Bed was very comfortable, quiet, great location, friendly staff. Check in is from 3pm-8pm unless prior arrangements are made. Hot tub only seats four.
