My husband and I decided to take a short trip into the mountains and decided to try a restaurant we had passed many times. We discovered that the restaurant had changed hands and was no longer Kermit's but The Tributary at 244 (a reference to the exit number). It is very rustic but charming. There is a small staff but they were very friendly and took our order quickly. We did notice that some people waited to be seated when all staff members were in the kitchen. The burgers we had were juicy and delicious and among the best we have ever had. There are numerous toppings available. The Tributary still offers Kermit's award-winning red and green chili (we were pleased that we had not missed our opportunity to try the chili, although we only tried the red on this visit). We will definitely return for more burgers and the green chile.

Had a great experience at The Tributary. We stumbled on the place and to be honest, a little apprehensive. The establishment is small, clean and cozy. The food was excellent and the service superb. The waitress was very friendly and offered great suggestions, which were spot on. The service and food were top notch! The hand cut fries were to die for. I can't wait to go back!

Must have the elk cheese jalapeño sausage and the tamales smothered in green chili. Super hand cut fries. Great dirty martini and draft beer. Coming back soon to try the hand made veggie burger and the Colorado beef blackened burger with blue cheese and jalapeños.

We ate at tributary 244 Sunday evening after skiing. it was very quiet and service was fast. the menu is pretty much limited to burgers. they have a good gluten free bun. The burgers tasted good and were prepared well. They also have some good Colorado beers on tap. The ambiance lacks a little and the restaurant is dimly lit.

We went because of a coupon that came in the mail and figured we would try it. When we pulled in there were only a couple of cars but it was only 4:30pm. We were welcomed right away. Matt (one of the owners) was VERY helpful in deciding what drinks we wanted. creative with a punch is how i would grade the drinks.

The food was excellent! we would go back again AND take friends!
