We had dinner with friends on Saturday, 23 February, our first visit to this very busy and popular restaurant. Three of us had scallops with black pudding as a starter - excellent. The fourth had goats cheese - lovely. For main courses two had pheasant - very good, one had duck - very good and the fourth had salmon with risotto and whilst the salmon was excellent, found the risotto quite unlike any risotto she had had before and not very good.
Desserts were good and with pre-dinner drinks and a bottle of wine the bill came to £141 which was very reasonable.
Service was good and the staff were friendly. Would have rated excellent but for the risotto.
