An inn of olde world charm. Visited for a meal with friends. The food served was of exceptional quality and freshness served by attentive and pleasant staff. Very relaxed atmosphere in the dining room, to enjoy the food. An excellent and extensive wine list. It is our intention to stay for a night in the New Year 2013.

We visited the Timble for a pre christmas break. We stayed two nights on the 14th and 15th of December 2012.
We were met as usual with a wonderful warm welcome. The staff are such lovely people.
We stayed in room 10 which is in a seperate building. The room was fabulous and oh so quiet. The standard of luxury in the rooms is first class.
We had the duck spring rolls and the prawns to start. All of which were wonderful. The taste and presentation are second to none.I do wonder how previous visitors have found the food to be bland and lacking in flavour and lacking in presentation!!!
Our main courses on the first night was Nidderdale lamb, do ask if you dont like lamb pink, my hubby thoroughly enjoyed his and asked for it to be cooked a little longer than pink.I had the steak which was wonderful. The Tinble is the only place I have steak as it is so very well presented and cooked. We even tried the boozy christmas pud which was again fabulous.
The second night we had the same starters as we had enjoyed then so much the previous night. For mains we had the steak in ale pie and I had the cod all of which was above first class.
The service is also first class and the owners, young american lady and the young female waitresess are a credit to the Timble .We love the place and were so dissapointed that we couldnt get over at Christmnas as planned. We will visit again and we would highly recommend the Inn.Thank you Timble for another wonderful stay.
Forgot to mention the Timble breakfast which are lovely , fabulous local produce cooked to a lovely standard.
As for decor the Inn is gorgeous, very clasically decorated and just wonderful.Just warm and welcoming as an inn should be.

Room Tip: Room 5 and 10 are gorgeous.please note a deposit is always required.

A pre Christmas meal at the Timble turned out to be a mediocre experience.I`ve been twice before and still find the place and the food rather "flat".The interior is attractive although bordering on having neen "tarted up".the welcome is underwhelming and that`s what runs through the establishment.
The food is very basic-simple cooking and lacking presentation. The owners need to inject personality into both the place and the plate!

W e booked the Timble Inn a few weeks in advance and were told we had to pay a £50 deposit but they were busy so could i call back the day after i called back on a few occasions and was either unable to get through or was told they were too busy so was a bit nervouse as to if the room would be available.

The rooms are lovely and cosy we were in room 10 and i would recommend it.

We ate in the restaraunt that evening and the food was fantastic i enjoyed every course and would go as far to say the steak rossini was the best i have had. I felt the portions and quality was great. The only downside is there is no where to relax after you meal just at the table but they have no room to accomodate this.

We went down for breakfast the next morning and were sat at a table which was just about joined on to another table where another couple were eating. I felt like we were joining them and were unable to talk freely as there was no privacy.

Overall our stay was enjoyable. Pricey but it was for a special occassion.

We stayed here on the 2 nights dinner, bed & breakfast deal on 23/24th Nov. We got ourselves lost trying to find the place as it's in the middle of nowhere. If you are using a satnav try putting the name in insead of the postcode as we ended up in the wrong village 5 miles away! When we arrived the staff were so welcoming and brought drinks up to our room for us. The whole ambiance of the inn is warm and cosy. If you like places that have old fashioned charm yet all mod cons in your room then this ticks all the boxes. Our bed was huge and very comfortable and our bathroom very clean and modern. The meals we had in the lovely restaurant were of a very high standard as were the breakfasts both mornings. The owners and the staff were absolutely lovely and made us feel very comfortable. I can't recommend this place highly enough, and we are already planning our next trip!

Room Tip: If you like a bath you will have to ask when booking as some rooms have wet rooms.

We stayed at The Timble Inn last weekend and eat Dinner & Breakfast there. I can only say that it is a long long time since I experienced such excellent food and service. We added 2 extra people to our party at short notice and I was told that the only way our extra guests could be accommodated was by making our table of 10 into a table of 12 as they were fully booked. We accepted the fact that we would be a little 'squashed' but I have to say that EVERYTHING was wonderful. Our Hosts were so obliging, even preparing a 'lounge' for our party to use for pre dinner drinks and for coffee afterwards. Breakfast also was a delight. The food and service were second to none. One of our Party had special dietary needs which were catered for wonderfully without any fuss. Thank you we WILL be back. P.S. I thoroughly recommend the blackpudding as a starter, it was scrummy !!! The rooms were lovely, the nicest linen I have ever had in a small Hotel, pure white and very good quality. The bed was huge and very comfortable, the room and bathroom both very modern and well laid out.

Room Tip: We had the room in the house next door, but all the rooms ( we saw 3 of the others as our friends we...

Yesterday we had our third Sunday lunch at Timble Inn, in the last year. Once again it was truly excellent.Timble Inn succeeds where so many fail, in consistently delivering great food, and very good service. From the moment our party of four arrived, we felt like we had arrived somewhere special. Soft lighting, tasteful decorations and a warm fire were very welcome after a cold walk around the beautiful Swinsty reservoir. The host and hostess, Paul and Marie have great attention to detail, and despite being very busy, they took time to chat and advise on the menu. What a great team, well done Timble Inn, we shall be back!
