Fairfield Inn & Suites Greeley

We chose the Fairfiled Inn in Greeley CO to use our reward points. The hotel was fairly new and was well maintained. The property was clean and the room was very clean and well maintained. Also the staff seemed to be friendly but not really knew what they were doing.

The down side was when I checked in I asked for a quiet room. So I was given the room in the middle of the floor next to the elevator. Quiet? We also noticed that there were about 40 kids in the hotel pool. It was not long before we discovered that there rooms were all around us. Due to the paper thin walls and ceiling the noise comenced and did not stop untl long after 11:00pm. We had been driving for 12 hours and wanted to go to bed by 9:00PM, did not happen. The hotel was full so our room was our room.

The next day the large groupe left the hotel and we had one night of quiet. The next day a bus load of teenagers pulled onto the hotel for a three day stay. You guessed it, they put them all around us, not much sleep to be had. They seemed to be having a door slaming contest.

When we request a quiet room I don't think most desk clerks have a clue where the quiet rooms are in there hotel. If the hotel was at least reasonably quiet I would recommend it for a stay as the other conditions were very good.

I made reservations for two nights in July for a king suite and guaranteed my reservation nearly two months before arrival. When I arrived to check in at 3:OO in the afternoon, I was told they gave my reservation away. They suggested I stay at the Holiday Inn. I told them absolutely not, since I had 7 brothers and sisters staying at the Fairfield Inn. We came from 5 different states for a family reunion and I wanted to stay with them. They finally gave me a very small room and told me I could have a king suite the next day.
When I inquired the next morning when I could have my king suite, I was very rudely told there was no way I would get a king suite and he didn't know why I ever had an idea that I would get one. I told David I had a confirmed reservation for a king suite and he told me my confirmed reservation was basically worthless because I wasn't a gold card rewards member. He told me they always overbook by 10% and I will probably always be bumped until I become a gold card rewards member. If this is how they treat their guests, I don't ever intend to stay at another Fairfield Inn/Marriott Hotel again.

The staff at the Greeley Fairfield Inn were wonderful. Our family came to Greeley to look at UNC because our daughter is starting school there in the fall. The hotel was just what we needed. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and gave us a discount card for a nearby restaurant. The indoor pool was great since the weather outside was in the 100's.

Our room was very clean and the housekeepers were friendly. I would recomend this hotel, and will definately return when we come back to visit our daughter.

I was very disappointed with the Marriot Fairfield Inn in Greeley, Co.
First off I reserved a double room with two queens or kings for four
adults. When we got there all they had was one king and a hide-a-bed.
When I complained I was told there was no double rooms left and I would
have to make do. I called customer service for Marriots and explained
the problem and within a short time the problem was solved with the
addition of another single room at Marriots expense. At this point I
was grateful that the problem was solved and thankful for customer
service.
Well on our third night things changed again. We came in from a long and eventful day to find out that we were locked out of the second room for lack of payment. When I explained that the room was complimenty the new person at the desk told me that was not Marriots policy and my creadit card had been charged and I could come to the desk and pick up my key. Well another phone call to customer service corrected the problem. The new keys were delievered, the charges to my credit card were reversed and the girl at the desk actually gave us a bag of popcorn.
I have never been treated this way at Marriots before. The service has always been great. However I think I'll find a different room next time we find ourselves in Greeley Co...
