Happened to stop at this quiet local airport and noticed the Barnstormer restaurant. Excellent home-cooked, super value, breakfast all served up with really friendly, hospitable service. Very popular with locals and lots of interesting aircraft memorabilia, history, paintings etc.to enjoy.

A group of friends decided to go for lunch at the Barnstormer Restaurant in the Greeley-Weld County Airport terminal. Private-plane pilots like to stop here for a hearty meal. The breakfast menu lists typical dishes found in many traditional American diners. Lunch selections include burgers, French fries, burritos, cheese steaks, Philly steaks, sandwiches, salads and more. Lunch time was busy with energetic, congenial waitresses. Those in our group said their lunches were satisfying and plenty filling. My buffalo patty melt and salad made a very good meal. Watching planes from our table was an extra bonus, taking me back to an earlier time.

I've been a regular customer of the Barnstormer for several years, since my airplane is hangared at Greeley. The restaurant is in the airport terminal building, so it caters to aviation enthusiasts. But it has many regular customers who don't fly.

The lunches are very good; the omelets (before 11 a.m.) are truly excellent. When things get really busy, like on Saturday mornings when people fly in from other places for their "$100 hamburger" or "$100 omelet", things slow down some, but the service is always good, as well as friendly. Prices are very reasonable.
