Description: This restaurant has been open about 14 months and has consistently outstanding food and is always busy. I've lived in the Middle East for many years and have Persian food from Dubai to Seattle, and this restaurant is at the top in quality in cuisine, service, and has a charming atmosphere in a converted old house in the downtown Greeley area. Adding it to your directory is a service to everyone in northern Colorado.--Professor Beverly Jensen

“Fabulous”

The food was fantastic and vegetables were garden fresh. The spices were just the right amount and the service was very friendly. Dessert was also wonderful. The atmosphere is nice, being in an old home. Their iced tea is so good! We will definitely be back, even if it is just for tea and dessert in the afternoon!

“Awesome food”

Great fresh food with great service. Menu has something for everyone. Save room for dessert. Almond cookies and ice cream are amazing. Great for gluten free diners as well.

“Ethnic food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

Excellent mid-eastern food at a reasonable price. One of a kind restaurant. Friendly staff. Have been here several times and haven't had a bad meal. The almond cookies and pistachio ice cream are wonderful too. This is a first choice restaurant for me.

“It keeps getting better”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

I've been going to Rumi's periodically since they opened. At first, I thought it was average at best--dry meat, dishes loaded with cheap fillers like plain rice, and not much variety on the menu. They have since expanded the vegetarian offerings which has rounded out the menu nicely, and I think the preparation might be getting better. I haven't seen any overcooked meat in a while now. If you're into talking a lot to the owner, you'll like the service. I kind of wish he wouldn't hover at the table so much while I'm trying to eat or talk with my table mates, and his constant invocation of God in his table side speeches is a bit grating. But the servers are kind and work hard to keep you happy, and I am always willing to support a local business in Greeley, even if it's imperfect. We struggle to keep anything going in this town.
