“$$$ for average food”

Way overpriced for subpar food. Order was messed up multiple times with no real apology!
Owner sat a bar with buddy drinking and never attempted to apologize or thank us for our business. We had 8 plus in our business party

Thank Sleedes

“Another mis-managed flop for Greeley”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2012

Walked thru the door. Waitress nodded to the side of the restaurant and told us to pick a seat. We waited for a FULL 10 minutes for water and Menus. Only one waitress working. Waited to order for another 10 minutes. Waited for food for 20 more minutes.

Food: Another typical bar sandwich place trying to be upscale but fails miserably. Rueben was decent. NY strip Salad was pathetic. Very few greens. Steak was not rare, it was RAW. Ordered it Medium. Total length of stay was 1 hour and 20 minutes. Too long for a working lunch hour. Could not believe there was on one waitress. A place like that needs to take lessons from Austins on Harmony in Fort Collins. But then again, Greeley is happy to be 4th best to FoCo, Loveland, Longmont, etc.

“Accomodating, friendly, much improved”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 22, 2011

I have seen the reviews of the Tavern, and I must say that I can not criticize the reviewers because they were there at a different time. I visited during business meetings in Greeley and the times we went there the food was quite good. We had a variety, from Pizza to steak, to drinks, to snacks and I have very little if anything bad to say. Was it a bit noisy? Yes but it IS a Pub. The cool thing is when we needed more space and a bit more quiet they simply heated the patio (now covered with moving roof and put out there where it was surprisingly warm for a very windy and quite cold day. we had plenty of room very attentive service that kept the food coming and the drinks full. All in all not bad. A bit to high priced? I guess, but for the close proximity to our meetings and the service rendered? I say not that bad. Give it a try if you are there and I hope you have a good experience.

“We tried so hard to like it!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2011

After the Hobnobber came the Tavern at St. Mk's. Not a part of the Denver Tavern group but locally owned. Great concept and decor but... Far too noisy with overpriced food. Three trips have told us probably not again. Kitchen issues, poor service, and the noise levels tell us NO. That's sad because Greeley really needs more places like the Tavern. Far too many of us travel to FOCO, LVLD, Boulder, and Denver to spend our dining dollars. We will support Greeley establishments when they measure up.

“OK Pub, but not for dinner”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2011

Food took a long time to come out. Two of our party had dinners that were burned. One order didn't even get placed, and arrived after everyone else was half done. And it was a bit pricey compared to similar restaurants.

On the positive side, nice atmosphere, nice staff, and fries were good.

Won't go back to eat, but as a pub for a drink and bar food, would be fine.
