“Morning Delight”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

fresh food, good-sized servings, very good coffee'
French toast, pancakes & scrambled eggs--all cooked to
order, very friendly server; décor & atmosphere are
easy on the eyes and ears; exceptionally clean restrooms;
the morning we were there it was busy,busy so we did have to
wait for about 25 minutes for our food but with the pleasant
surroundings and the nice people the wait was worthwhile

“It's all about brunch”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

We ate there twice, once for lunch and then we came back (based on the reviews) for weekend brunch. Lunch was fine but the brunch buffet was superior! Yes, brunch is a tad pricey ($14ish per adult) but if you've got a teenager (especially a boy) take him hungry and you'll definitely get your money's worth.

The truly amazing thing about the brunch buffet is the dessert table. When we visited there were not just a few types of pie, but also strawberry shortcake, a truly decadent chocolate cake, brownies, fruit salad, sliced fruit and more. There are also cinnamon rolls, scones and fruit filled pastries. Probably 50% of the brunch is dessert related. If you hate sweets, this may NOT be the best fit for you.

The brunch buffet includes drinks (orange juice that unlike most buffets did NOT seem to be watered down), coffee, tea, cocoa, cider (from a packet) and broth. The day we were there, the main courses included scotch eggs (hard boiled eggs wrapped in sausage and deep fried, AWESOME), eggs, bacon, sausage links, biscuits with either gravy or chili to pour over top.

Enjoy the cat figurines on every table. Go early or at odd ball times or expect a wait. There really aren't many tables but I found the staff to be very accommodating.

“Hometown Cooking”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

This is an adorable little cafe in the heart of Grand Lake. All the food was cooked up fresh. The presentation of the food was intriguing. There was so much to choose from on the buffet tables. As one of our guests stated, "If I lived here I would definitely be a Fat Cat."
