“Million Dollar View”
Reviewed July 16, 2008

Every table has a gorgeous view of the river rapids just outside the windows. For visitors to Rocky Mountain National Park, The Rapids is an elegant change of pace from hotdogs over the campfire. Leave your shorts and flipflops in the tent as the attire is "dressy-casual". The Thai pasta in a ginger broth with grilled baby bok choy was excellent--as are the homemade soups, sorbets, dips, and salad dressings. At $34 the New York strip was stingy and unspecial. Try the trout instead.

“There is something about this place!”
Reviewed May 18, 2008

I really enjoy this restaurant. The food is very good and the atmosphere is wonderful. It is hard to explain but it is one of those places that you just want to linger and have a leisurly dinner/lunch. The setting is beautiful. Go and enjoy yourself!

“Grand Lake's Gem”
Reviewed February 22, 2008

We live in the Grand Lake area, and there are quite a few restaurants, but our favorite on the higher end of the spectrum is the Rapids Lodge Restaurant. The food is always consistently excellent........always!!! The atmosphere is great and the wait staff are always very friendly and accomodating, especially, Steffanie! Grand Lake is situated at the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, and is a beautiful area in which to live and play.

“Good food, good service”
Reviewed October 10, 2006

The Rapids Restaurant hosted a family dinner for us. The food was quite good - not extraordinary, but very tasty. The service was very solid. It is expensive, but the meal included a fair amount of food. I would recommend it.
