After a long drive from Aspen to Grand Lake, we just wanted to have something simple for dinner. We decided to go for Pizza. There are two Pizzerias in Grand Lake; but looking at the menus, we decided to visit Grand Pizza. Located in the historic town center. The food was good, and the atmosphere was basic; but very pleasant.
We started with a house salad for two. It was abundant enough to serve at least three people. The greens were crisp and refreshing. It was a good start. We selected their large thin crust pizza half margherita style and half with garlic chicken. Crust was nice and crisp and the toppings were fresh. Both styles were great. The garlic side was loaded with fresh garlic. It was a garlic lover delight; but we gave the top prize to the margherita style.
We thought the prices were a bit high; but worthy. The service was not the greatest as we had to ask for refills on the water and ice tea several times. Off course, they didn't have a problem asking about beer refills. Service improvements will make this a great place to dine. We will consider visiting this establishment on our next visit to Grand Lake, CO.
