We stopped for a beer when we saw the taproom/tasting room sign. What we got was great beer, great service (Scott was awesome....funny and great service!) and we only got a side of fries, but they hit the spot! Went home with a growler and will definitely be back!

Our waiter/bartender Scott was a blast! A lot of fun and kept bringing us free drinks to sample. One of them was the Grand Lake Brewery's own root beer and oatmeal stout mix. It was delicious and reminded me of great iced coffee. Add it to the menu!

We were there Sept. 12th at 10 minutes to closing. The server really went out of his way to make our stay fun. The chef stayed a little later so we could eat. The food was very good, especially the soup and beer bread. The beer and wine was good too. Some of our group liked it so much they went back the next night and again came back with raves even though they did not have many choices from the menu due to the horrible flooding in Colorado and lack of food delivery. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Grand Lake.

We stopped here for dinner and thought it was closed. There were 1 table (2 people) in the restaurant. The Waiter/Bartender/Host seated us quickly and said he was going to close early because of no business. Well, he wanted us to stay and made several jokes. Slowly the dining room filled up with customers which he commented that we brought in the customers. He was witty and saw to our every need. He saw that my sister did not like any wine/beer he offered and made up a special drink for her which she enjoyed. We had the Mediterranean, Mushroom / Bacon and Chicken Buffalo pizzas. The food was good and plenty for the 5 of us. The choices of beer was good according my family. I saw the reviews before we stopped so I was leery but at the end was glad we stopped and had dinner.

After staying in RMNP until after dark, we found the Taphouse in order to have a couple of drinks and appetizers. At that time it was not crowded so we just sat at the bar & talked with the bartender. The appetizers were good and came out promptly, and we have enjoyed their brews from past visits. (I recommend the Wooly Booger Nut Brown Ale and the White Cap Wheat.) We were a bit disappointed that they had moved from their more convenient former downtown location since our last visit a few years ago.
