You cannot go wrong with staying here. There is a charming little lounge/bar and eatery. They also have room service.....the rooms are large, airy and clean. The toilet paper is good quality....not one skimp here...all for 50.00 a night....you cannot beat that....and the people who work here are friendly and go out of their way to be as helpful and nice as they can...very impressed....

I stay in Grand Junction quite often. I have stayed here before and have avoided it because it was getting quite run down. I got a king room this time and although the room was musty smelling, it did air out with the ac on. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom clean. Toiletries equal to a motel 6 so I used my own. No way is this place in the same class as other 3star places in GJT but for the price it was nice enough. I would stay again for the price.

I have reviewed this hotel once before, “Ok room at Ok rate” last September. I seem to come back to this property while in Grand Junction mainly because there rates are usually very attractive. While I stand by my last assessment of this property my recent stay did prompt me to write another review based on the observation that not all rooms here are the same. My wife and I have stayed here many times and have usually been in a standard run of the mill room. Nothing really special but for the rate we paid we were not expecting anything really special. In September we ended up in a corner room which was a bit of a notch above, a lot more room and a wrap around window. This trip we decided to request the corner again if available and found out two things. First, usually the corner rooms are an upgrade and apparently we were given a freebee the last time we stayed here. Second there is another upgrade for one of the four corner rooms on the sixth floor. While we were there the upgrade for the sixth floor was about $20 a night. On a lark we went for it (still with the upgrade it came in cheaper then many other rooms here.) It was worth it! They are set up like mini suites with some upgraded furniture and I felt more comfortable beds. Though the room is still dated and some of the remodel attempts had a throw it together feel to it, it felt a lot more three star then the rest of the rooms here do. I have never seen these rooms on their web site to reserve so I am guessing you either have to luck into them or ask for the upgrade when you check in.

My two recommendations for staying here: first ask about the upgrade to one of the corner rooms and second find a rate that does not include breakfast. I still think their breakfast is a joke and you will probably be happier getting the room at a cheaper rate and eating breakfast somewhere else.

Room Tip: South facing rooms have a nice view of the bluffs; the north facing ones gets views of an irrigation...

The hotel was a surprisingly great value. The rates were very affordable, and the return for what I paid was great. The staff was very friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is very close to the airport, and offers a convenient airport shuttle. I'd stay here again when in the area without question.

We were traveling to Moab, UT in November 2011 and decided to stop in Grand Junction for the night. With no reservation we found this hotel close to the interstate and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel and the room for the price we paid. It was a Sunday night so it was very quiet in the hotel bar before supper. Hotel staff recommended an excellent restaurant in downtown Grand Junction. If ever going through Grand Junction you MUST take the time to visit Colorado National Monument which is a short drive south of the city - it is like you have entered another world.

Room Tip: Our room faced south towards the freeway and the Colorado National Monument area and there was no no...
