The Double Tree must be the largest hotel in Grand Junction, and it appears to aspire to being a convention hotel. Despite its size, the hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. The king room that I had was quite large, with a very comfortable bed and a good work desk. The exercise facility was okay, with four or five treadmills and ellipitcal machines, a stationary bike, free weights, and yoga mats. The outdoor pool was closed (in February) but the hot tub was open and looked pretty nice. The hotel backs up on a golf course, which is a nice view, and the hotel also has its own tennis court, which was in decent shape. I only ate breakfast in the hotel's restaurant, which was nothing special. The hotel is located right next to Hwy. 70, and there was some highway noise in my room, but nothing too bad. Pro tip: there is a Starbucks in the Safeway .5 miles from the hotel.

Have stayed here about 6 times. They bust their butt to make me happy and smile at me in the AM and after work to start the day off right or recover from the bear getting me. Special orders do not upset them and they will do everything within reason to accomodate. I have impromptu business mtgs. constantly there and they graciously accomodate me and my guests. I just wish I could afford to live there...and how to avoid gaining weight after that cookie. Have tried several other hotels in the area and this is definitely #1.

Have already made my next reservation.

Room Tip: I didn't know they had a spa!!!

We checked into the Double Tree at 8 pm on a Thursday evening (during the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Swim Meet) and were welcomed with cookies. The hotel lobby is modern, clean and welcoming. After arriving by the quick elevator to our room on the 8th floor, the room was clean and large. My only complaint was the firmness of the beds, as they were way too soft and bouncy! I did not sleep well the first night, but moved to the other bed the second night and slept great. The bathroom was clean but small and it would be hard for 2 peopele to get ready at the same time. The first morning (a Friday) we had breakfast at the restaurant and had a fantastic experience as as Gold members we were treated like gold. The server was super and so was the food. The next morning (a Saturday) the food was average and so was the service. All in all, the hotel was nice and accommodating and I would stay here again. Great service and friendly staff!

For the most part I stay at the DoubleTree Grand Junction monthly for work. I had a long week of travel & the hotel I sayed prior to getting to Grand Junction was anything but diserable. When I reached my final destination at the DT in GJ I told them about my terrible experience at the other hotel and asked for a quiet room. They put me in a nice, comfy room away from everyone so I could relax. Room service was fabulous and I slept great in the comfy bed. Thank you to the staff at the DoubleTree Grand Junction. This hotel is always very clean and welcoming!!

Just wanted to say that of all the hotels in Grand Junction this is the one where the staff really makes the difference.I check in and they know your name and hand you the keys and a warm cookie in under 1 minute. The new remodel is wonderful and you can tell from the staff they all enjoy working here.Per the G.M. you can tell takes such pride in his property and his staff.Regina in the sales office and the front desk staff all the way into the bar and bistro are the best. Thanks for making it always a great stay.
