“Good bagels and coffee!”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

My husband and I get coffee here whenever we are in town because it is hot and strong! Yummy Americanos. We also pick up bagels because it is the only bagel place within an hour of us.

During a recent visit to Grand Junction with our Manhattan (born and raised) aunt, we had her do a taste test of the bagels. She declared them "the best bagels west of the Hudson." This was a great endorsement because New Yorkers are very selective about their bagels.

This place is always busy and sometimes there is quite a line to order and a wait for your food, but it is good.

“Quaint Bakery”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

We stopped in Grand Junctions on our way to Glenwood Springs, and I am so glad we did. We found this bakery in downtown Grand Junction, which is too cute for words, very Colorado. The coffee was delicious, and the food was yummy too.

It was a beautiful sunny day, so we ate outside with the locals, who were all very nice. Worth the stop

“Great sandwiches”
Reviewed September 13, 2012 via mobile

Nice little spot on main street. Good, fresh bagels and appealing sandwich combinations. Individual bagels feel a bit pricey, but they're good. Live the local artist decor!

“Pleasant atmosphere. Food with pluses but compromises.”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

We had an early light dinner here.

Based on TA reviews, we anticipated a place with very good to excellent atmosphere, on-site prepared food, and value.

What we encountered was a place with very good atmosphere, pleasant but typical service, some compromises in food preparation (industrial tasting "turkey" and a less than "spot-on" texture in the gumbo and sandwich that we ordered and shared), and thus not the value that it would have been without those compromises.

The quality of the baked goods that we received was OK. However, we avoided the "bagels" when, upon inspection in their display case they resembled "typical bread products shaped to resemble bagels" (of the broad genre one finds in Safeway) rather than genuine bagels.

“This is by far the best place to eat in Grand Junction”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

If this restaurant was downtown houston with lots more competition I think it would still thrive. I came here on my last trip and craved it ever since.
