“Great alternative to roadside motel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2008

I stayed only one night while passing through Grand Junction, but I didn't want to stay in a roadside motel. This was one of very few B&B's in GJ, and it was fantastic. The inn is separate from the innkeepers' quarters, affording guests much privacy. Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and breakfast was super. A top-notch B&B.

On our travels across the country, we stopped in Grand Junction, CO. Checking this site we found the Willow Pond B&B. We checked out their website and contacted Dave and Laurie. Booking was straightforward and easy. We arrived and were warmly greeted. Our room (the Hazel Tree) was fantastic; the bed was so comfy, perfect for recharging after a long drive. Breakfast in the morning with the other guests was wonderful. Great talking with the other guests. We had ableskivers (Danish puff pancakes) which were delicious. They are known for their Norwegian pancakes. If you like to pick up gifts for friends and family, they sell pieces from local artists as well as their own jams. Overall, an excellent stay in a charming small city. Highly recommend. Great place for a honeymoon/romantic getaway.

  • Liked — Lovely room and delicious breakfast.
  • Disliked — Only got to stay one night due to our own time constraints...

After staying at Willow Ponds in April 08 we desided then to return this year to start our holidays. As expected Dave and Laurie welcomed us and our friends with open arms. We highly recommend this Inn for your stay in Grand Junction. You wont be disapointed. We are looking forward to visiting again later this year or next. We wish you all well at Willow Pond. My husband and I have been fortunate enough to have visited many places and what a surprise to discover this gem in our own home state! The room was clean, clean, clean! I am a clean freak ~ this is cleaner than a Ritz! The hosts were warm and friendly and the breakfast was scrumptious. There are so many fun things to do in and around Grand Junction - hiking, biking, wine tasting, art. This is a don't miss experience. If you are coming from Denver it is a gorgeous drive as well. A fabulous location for a wedding, honeymoon, anniversary or just a get away. And as an added bonus my dollars can be spent at a small business instead of at a giant corporate behemoth hotel chain (ick).

What a wonderful little Gem of a B&B in the middle of Grand Junction Colorado.
We are regular visitors to Grand Junction and this visit was the best one of all thanks to Lori and Dave and there beautiful and cozy little B&B we felt we where at home away from home and we are looking forward to seeing them next year. The food was outstanding they made all the changes for our dietary needs. The hospitality was warm and loving. They went out of their way to make us at home. Don't look any farther if you are going to visit Grand Junction there is no better place to stay!

Everything was perfect!! We loved the room, the bathroom and the breakfast was phenomenal. Can't wait to go again - David and Laurie are wonderful - it was like having friends in Grand Junction.

  • Liked — Comfortable room and excellent breakfast
  • Disliked — Bathroom was seperate from the bedroom, so we had to walk in the hall to get there- not a really big deal...

Absolutely perfect time at Willow Pond. The innkeepers are very friendly & conscientious, the breakfasts & afternoon snacks terrific, and the interior relaxing. Very spacious common area with comfy sofas. The room was small, but functional. Ask the innkeepers about dinner options... we went to a surprisingly great bistro in town on rood st.
