Description: il Bistro Italiano opened in August 1998. Our focus is on bringing a combination of traditional Italian dishes together with some innovative ones created within the boundaries of modern Italian cuisine. The pastas, breads, sauces, and desserts are all made at the restaurant from fresh ingredients. Our wine list features a large selection of wines from Italy and Colorado, and whenever possible, we use local ingredients in our kitchen. There is always something going on at the Bistro, so look at the Events Section to learn of special wine nights, cooking classes or other featured events.

Very good veal, ravioli, gnocchi, sausage, pizza and dessert. We are from Nashville visiting and are glad we found this wonderful place.

Atmosphere is nice, but food is average at best from appetizers through dessert. I am not a chain restaurant fan, and not a fan of Olive Garden at all, but their Tiaramisu is much better! Just one example of the mediocrity that this establishment represents.

I am always impressed when I go here. The food is very high quality and always excellent. The prices are reasonable for what you get and the portions are perfect-just enough to take a little home with you. The atmosphere is pleasant and has a good feel and the location on Main is perfect.

We drive 180 miles round trip to go to this restaurant. (After all, it's Western Colorado, not NYC). The food is great and includes inventive as well as traditional Italian dishes. Homemade pasta and pizza are superb but try one of their evening specialties and you will never order off the standard menu again. Their extensive wine list covers a wide price range and will suit any taste. The decor is simple but elegant and fabulous, crispy breadsticks abound on every table. Not too hungry? Try their late afternoon menu and you cannot go wrong. And talk about friendly! Yesterday the owner and I hugged after he found a hat we left there two months ago. Made me feel like family.
