“Very nice campground”
Reviewed May 25, 2014

Our only complaint was all the traffic and noise in our particular aisle. The cabins were right behind us and many of the RVs had to enter and exit on the aisle/Lane
right behind our RV. The two dog runs we're nice. The grass, picnic tables, and fire ring were great.

Room Tip: The location was good but the entrance and exit onto Rte 50 was a little squirelly

The park was very nice and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. The dog park was clean and nice that it was fenced and we were able to let our dog run loose for a few minutes. Didn't use the showers or the laundry as we have those in our coach.

The only complaint that I have is they advertise breed restrictions but don't follow there own rules. While we were there 2 spots over from us was a Pit Bull tied up outside with it's owner not in site. Of course the dog went ballistic when he/she saw our small dog. I did say something to one of the park employees and the dog was put in the trailer. But within about 30 minutes the dog was tied back up side again and stayed there for the next 2 days before we left. For this reason I can't give the park a high rating.

The lawn was nice, the restroom/showers are a short distance away. It would be nice if the electric hook-up was on the same side as the picnic table. That is the only negative I experienced at the Grand Junction KOA. I stayed here once in June, August, and October. I stayed here for accommodations to stay after giving blood at St. Mary's Blood Donation Center.
Thank you,

I just love staying in the deluxe cabins. Just bring your bedding and towel and move right in. I always stay here when my travels take me to Grand Junction. The cabin is always clean and ready when I arrive. Can't beat the heat and air for any weather. Used both of them on my last trip.

Very nice facility. Good location close to town but not right in town. Staff very friendly.Very clean. Nice shady spots. Many pull-thrus. Not real close to interstate but easy to get to. Would definitely stay again.

Sites are really close together and you have to share your grass area with the people next to you. For a KOA it was fine. The kids had lots to do and it was very clean. We will be staying again for convienence and it is cheaper than a hotel.

I was very impressed with Grand Junction KOA. All the sites are spacious & level. We only stayed one night (just passing through), but if I was ever in the area again, I'd stay there. We were escorted to our campsite (after being given a quick drive round on their golf cart to select which one we would like) & the gentleman helped us park, even offered to do the electrical hook-up for us, something I've never experienced before, even at the expensive resorts.
The restrooms were spotless, with good water pressure on the showers. We didn't need to use any of their other facilities, as it was just an overnight stay.
The only complaint I have is lack of signage. Most KOA's are easy to get to, with plenty of signs from the nearest freeway or major road..not this one. Although i was using the GPS to get there, I actually drove past it on the opposite side of the road without seeing the entrance. There is a KOA sign at the campground, but it was obscured by a tree from the direction we were coming from. It is a divided highway, and the camper is left to guess where to turn off to get there.

Room Tip: Ask them to drive you around first to select your camp site
