Sites are really close together and you have to share your grass area with the people next to you. For a KOA it was fine. The kids had lots to do and it was very clean. We will be staying again for convienence and it is cheaper than a hotel.

I was very impressed with Grand Junction KOA. All the sites are spacious & level. We only stayed one night (just passing through), but if I was ever in the area again, I'd stay there. We were escorted to our campsite (after being given a quick drive round on their golf cart to select which one we would like) & the gentleman helped us park, even offered to do the electrical hook-up for us, something I've never experienced before, even at the expensive resorts.
The restrooms were spotless, with good water pressure on the showers. We didn't need to use any of their other facilities, as it was just an overnight stay.
The only complaint I have is lack of signage. Most KOA's are easy to get to, with plenty of signs from the nearest freeway or major road..not this one. Although i was using the GPS to get there, I actually drove past it on the opposite side of the road without seeing the entrance. There is a KOA sign at the campground, but it was obscured by a tree from the direction we were coming from. It is a divided highway, and the camper is left to guess where to turn off to get there.

Room Tip: Ask them to drive you around first to select your camp site

We attend the wine festival every year in Sept and really enjoy staying at the GJ KOA. Easy access to the various wineries and fruit farms in the Grand Junction/Palisades area. Very well maintained and very friendly staff. Our dogs love the fenced runs. Even have brought Non-RVers who used the deluxe cabins which were very well done. One couple I. Our party forgot to bring linens, but KOA was able to assist and provide basics. Highly recommend this KOA as it consistently meets the standards of a well run KOA campground.

Room Tip: Highly recommend the deluxe lodge cabins--just remember to bring your own linens.

We had not planned on staying overnight in Grand Junction, but the weather kept us continuing. KOA was open and clean and inviting! Once we found the entrance it was easy to get back to. Close to food, Colorado National monument, and on the way to Moab. Easy pull through spots. Nice people. Not a bad thing to say.

I have stayed here many times. Twice a year for several years in my camper with my dogs. I highly recommend this KOA. Nice for pets and conveniently located on my route from Southern California to South Dakota.

The staff are always helpful and eager to serve their customers! They really know the area well. Any problems that arise are handled as quickly as possible, no hesitation! The grounds are nice with shade and grass plus flowers. Our dogs even enjoy the facilities! We do recommend this KOA and alert the "newbies" about the entrance off of the Highway 50. That is the only negative to this campground.

Room Tip: Entrance off of Highway 50 can be tricky so watch for the signs. They also have great side-by-side...
