Our check-in the afternoon of Nov 19 with a friendly, efficient lady that easily gave our room request was a breeze. The best is no smoking and no pets.
Our room was very clean and quiet overlooking a courtyard.
We're always happy to find a fan in the bathroom on a switch rather than that hole in the ceiling that roars 24/7.
The TV volume was fine for us and if our neighbours were unable to be annoying that was fine also.
Besides the regular parking at the back, there is underground parking next to a back entrance that takes approx 36 normal size vehicles. We did see large truck in there but some people can't read. There is a security camera above the door looking down the lot so best to park as close as you can when you drive in. Entering the hotel from this lot is about four steps to the elevator which is so good for us old timers.
All the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast lady was very nice. The hot complimentary breakfast was well done with delicious little omelettes.

Room Tip: Room 309 was great looking over a courtyard.

We enjoyed our overnight stay in the Hampton Inn. The desk clerk was friendly and energetic and made us feel right at home. The room was clean and the bed and bedding were very comfortable. The only issue was the lack of black-out curtains of any kind, and our room faced the parking lot with glaring lights and neon signs. I always carry a hair clip so we fastened the decorative curtains together and that made the room dark enough to sleep. The hotel is in downtown Grand Junction but the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. In the morning we were surprised and pleased at the excellent hot breakfast. The selections included a breakfast bagel with hot scrambled eggs and cheese as well as the usual waffles and continental fare. We'd definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Bring a clip to fasten the curtains and make the room dark enough to sleep.

I always look forward to my trips to Grand Junction. One reason is the Hampden Inn downtown. The Main Street location is perfect, the staff very accommodating and the rooms clean and comfortable. I always enjoy the generous breakfast. I always stay there during my quarterly visit to Grand Junction.

My wife and I stayed one night at the Hampton Inn in Grand Junction CO during mid-October 2012 and on balance were satisfied with the facilities offered by the Inn. The staff was cordial and very helpful; our was room clean and ready on arrival. We considered the breakfast offered by the Grand Junction Hampton to be better than the corporate norm because of the freshness and diversity of the fruit cocktail and the inclusion of an excellent granola among the cereals offered. The fitness center was a bit meager, offering a single treadmill and elliptical machine; it offered plenty of towels but no disinfectant wipes. Somewhat unusual, the Hampton Inn in Grand Junction CO did not have on-site laundry facilities for use by guests, but it had arrangements with a neighboring (nearly connected) Fairfield Inn to accommodate Hampton guests, and it worked fine for us. We would not hesitate to stay again at the Grand Junction Hampton Inn.

The Hampton Inn in downtown Grand Junction is in a wonderful location. We booked it to do the
Tour of the Moon bike ride in Colorado National Monument and it was perfect. The hotel is on Main St. and the bike ride started at the hotel's front door. The hotel was friendly to the bike riders allowing bikes in the rooms, offered cleaning cloths for the bikes. The staff was warm and accommodating. The rooms were very comfortable, beds were comfortable, clean and roomy. Even with all the activity going on that weekend, the rooms were pretty quiet although we were on the second floor so I would expect it to be more quiet than on the first floor. Parking is plentiful. The included breakfast was robust including scrambled eggs, waffles, pastries, fruit, cereal, etc. Since the hotel is on Main Street, there is a large City Market grocery store with a Starbucks across the street. There are lots of shops and restaurants within short walking distance on Main Street. We didn't have to use our car all weekend until we were ready to leave. Only downside is the pool is outside so in the fall and winter it's closed (otherwise it would be five stars). It is close to the Colorado National Monument as well (about 4 miles by bike).

This place was AWFUL!!!! I'm a Hilton Honors member, and stay in Hampton Inns all the time with my family, and on business -- precisely because I THOUGHT I knew what to expect, with no surprises...wrong on this one, for sure! First, the counter service was terrible -- ranging from rude to "couldn't care less." Second (and never seen this before), all the TVs in every room were programmed to not go above 3 on a scale of 10 volume -- so, if you have heat or air on in the room, good luck hearing the TV. "That's the way it is," they said...then: no pool or hot-tub, no in-room fridge or microwave, and no record of a wake up call that we requested the night before. The ABSOLUTE WORST HAMPTON INN I HAVE EVER STAYED IN!!!!!!!!!! And meanwhile, several very nice hotels right next door...choose Fairfield Inn or Springfield Suites...

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else!!!!

The Hampton Inn Grand Junction is an ideal location for strolling and exploring not just main street but also local area. If you stay when there is a farmers market, then a lovely stroll with great food - especially fruit on offer. Like another traveller we went to the brewpub to eat and what fresh, tasty food it was - and if you're a beer fan - plenty of local brews. Good continental breakfast and staff keep food well stocked. Staff are all friendly and willing to help with local info. Rooms was very clean and tidy, and beds are very comfy. Our only niggle was a noisy air conditioning unit, but this is purely because it is a unit in the room, not built into a main hotel system - but this was a personal niggle and may not bother others. Would recommend this hotel if you travel to Grand Junction.
