“Fun on the patio!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

We enjoyed our food and the entertainment at the Ale House. We had a little difficulty finding it... (I blame it on the GPS!), but once there, we were happy we chose it. There was a three person "band" playing nice mellow, Jimmy Buffet type music, it was a warm night and the flowers about us were fragrant. The patio is the place to eat when the weather cooperates. The prices were reasonable, the food was decent, and the atmosphere was laid back. The service was prompt, but there was one mix-up which was taken care of with no problems. I had fish tacos which were good sized and had a nice amount of spiciness. My husband enjoyed the fish and chips. A few cold, local beers enhanced the meal!

“Met expectations”

A very nice outdoor patio area to enjoy the warm evenings. Good menu and beer selection. Inside was a little noisy but overall a nice place close to the Double Tree hotel.

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2013

My wife & I went out on Sunday night 06/02 to enjoy the great outside deck at The Ale House. Arriving about 5pm we were excited to see "rock shrimp ceviche" on the chalk board for an appetizer. Perfect, just what we had been talking about. Alas, we were disappointed when we found out that it was all gone.....really so early? We were delighted by the chicken satays we had instead. We were VERY disappointed in the service and management of the deck. Too little space to detail here, but very unorganized and our waiter Chris was in the weeds, forgot about us for at least 20 minutes. We witnessed others that had long wait times for food & beverage, not necessarily only from our waiter. Some were visibly upset and complaining out loud. Then there was the 8-top of college students who had limited decorum including repeated F-Bombs (grow up) I'm sure heard by staff / bussers. Truly offended others adjacent to their table. I'm surprised that management wasn't alerted or seen for that matter to at least observe the dysfunctional scenario playing out on the patio. I guess maybe because it wasn't that busy at the time??? We usually consider The Ale House one of the handful of restaurants in town we can count on for consistency, but the last couple times we have been there we have been disappointed by the service.

“Good food and service..sit outside!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2013

Happened on this place and were pleased with the food. It is very noisy inside, so if the weather is conducive for sitting outside and you prefer quiet, wait for a table.

Stopped at The Ale House for Memorial Day. Great day outdoor seating open and hoping. Service was great, food was excellent. This place delivers consistently with proper service and properly cooked food.
