If you have an interest in the history of this part of Colorado, or the Old West in general, you'll enjoy this gem.
Larger than it appears, it covers local history from the Aztecs to the Uranium boom of the 50's and beyond. The exhibits are thoughtfully laid out and very informative. You can sit in a stagecoach, a Cessna cockpit, enter a mock-up of a uranium mine, and more. There's a huge gun and rifle collection which was far more interesting than I expected it to be!
There's a mock-up of an old saloon, and a player piano that you can try out. I enjoyed learning about the local uranium boom (and subsequent bust) There's also an elevator to a tower that overlooks the entire area.
I'm surprised to be the first to review this museum. Highly recommended.
