The hotel is impeccably clean. Parking is very convenient. The first floor rooms have patio doors to the courtyard which also provides access to the pool and spa. The courtyard has the greenest grass this side of the Rockies.

Room rates are consistent with the current national economic status-very affordable!
I will stay here again when we pass through Grand Junction, CO to visit family and friends.

The good things about this property are the amazingly pleasant and good natured staff, the clean and comfortable room, and the location (not right off the highway as the other hotels are, so there is no highway noise even though it is only about two minutes up the road.)

The downside had nothing to do with the hotel or management; rather it was the other guests that made our visit not as peaceful as we would have liked. On our visit there were a lot of families with kids of all ages seemingly unattended by adults. Kids were playing hide and seek, running up and down the hallways, and were monopolizing both the pool and hot tub areas. We had been on a long road trip and had been looking forward to a nice soak in the hot tub, but everytime we went to see if we could use it, there were several children in the spa just splashing around--and no adults!

I totally understand that they were just having fun, but children need a little supervision, don't you agree? If you are a couple looking for rest and relaxation, I would not recommend this facility; if you are a family and don't care if your kids run wild, you will be amongt friends.

Normally I would have rated an older motel like this with 3 stars, but with the professionalism and friendliness of the owner and staff and all the many extra amenities in this motel, I rated it with 4 stars. The free wi-fi worked extremely well and there was even a computer area near the lobby with printers for customer use. The lobby was nicely decorated for Christmas and had a comfortable seating area. The free breakfast included all kinds of bread, cereal, Danish, muffins, yogurt, milk (we brought in our own small cereal fruit instead of eating whole apples) and had 2 hot items each day (e.g., waffles, scrambled eggs, burritos, sausage, biscuits). The room fridge was larger than some. There were vending machines with all kinds of drinks and snacks; there were also laundry rooms. What made this place "funky but fun" was the tropical theme all around the motel, including both fake and real palm trees, beach scene poster art and pink flamingos. We are looking forward to a return visit in the spring or fall to use the outdoor pool, complete with real palm and banana trees (!!), more flamingos and torches, and also the FREE pass to the Crossroads fitness center located within walking distance.

Nice hotel in a useful location close to the interstate but still quiet.
Only problem was people slamming doors and some noise from trucks parked in the lot.

I found this hotel to be clean, comfortable, affordable and with friendly, helpful staff. I was looking for a basic hotel for a one night business stay, and was pleasantly surprised at the value found here.

I generally don't write negative reviews, but this place deserves it. We initially booked the room through Priceline for 1 week - paid for in advance. We called them to request a smoking room, and the receptionist said that he noted the request. No problem. When we arrived, they said that they had us in a non-smoking room. That was only the first problem (which they did resolve). The first morning, we received a call from the front desk asking us what time we would be checking out. The second morning, they called us again, same question. The third morning, despite having "do not disturb" signs on the door, the maintenance man knocked and requested to come in because someone had reported a safety problem. He then discovered that he went to the wrong room. On the 5th day, the housekeeper cleaned the room but neglected to close the door when she was done - we were rather surprised (understatement) to come back that evening to find our door propped open with all of our belongings inside. We complained and the owner apologized and said he would "comp" us a free night. We then extended our stay with the Ramada - after discussing with the owner and manager, they said they would honor the same room rate as we had with Priceline. However, when we finally checked out, not only were there problems with the room rate - only one night was at the Priceline rate, the 4 subsequent nights were at the full rate), but they refused to honor the night that was supposedly comped. In fact, the owner told the desk clerk (while we were standing right there - he never even looked in our direction) that since we were getting a discounted rate, he would not agree to comping the night. However, he was the same person who had offered the comp night in the first place!

Housekeeping was substandard - dirty towels were removed but clean towels were not put in their place, and despite requesting maid service, it did not look as if our room was vacuumed even once in 12 days. Our room was only sporadically re-supplied. Staff would be disciplined right out in the hallway in front of guests - very unprofessional.

We think that the management would want to leave a positive impression of their place with their guests, but it was obvious that the owner in this case could care less about guest satisfaction. This motel has some serious problems with both communication and credibility. It did not make us feel welcome when every day, we were asked when we were going to be leaving, even after we had pre-paid for the stay. And promising us a free night only to reneg on it at check-out was very poor form indeed. Who cares how nice the rooms are when one is confronted with incompetence every day? If you go to Grand Junction and want to enjoy your stay there, avoid this motel like the plague!

I hate this hotel. I had gotten a 90 dollar bathing suit as a gift and since they have a pool i brought it along. I know it was my fault we left it on the towel rack (along with my boyfriends) but the next morning he went to go ask them about them and they had found his but hadnt found mine. When i called to complain all the manager said was "we arent responsible and you cant accuse our workers of stealing" Which is absolutely ridiculous since they write down who cleans the rooms. And it was the next day! i dont know how it "mysteriously disappeared" Im upset and i will never stay there again. I also know for a fact that one of the maids went through my boyfriend's bags and stole belongings from his as well. They have shady workers and were extremely rude about the situation.
