“Great Snowmobiling with A-n-G Guide Service”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

WOW!! My first time snowmobiling. Small group of four. John was incredible at explaining everything, fitting the right vehicle with rider, and even pointing out tips for safety and etiquette in an easy to understand way. Nothing was overwhelming. Everything was spectacular. Eat hearty and carry a snack. Restrooms only at the beginning and end of trip. SO much fun dashing through the snow. We took the two hour tour which was perfect. Even snowmobiled across a frozen lake. Layer up! We had a ball. You're going at high speed and would not be fun if someone was cold. Incredible views from Land's End of the San Juan Mountains, and the top of Mt. Garfield. Will definitely be back!

“Purple Mountains Majesty”
Reviewed February 13, 2014

The Grand Mesa is the largest flat-topped mountain in North America, a volcano at one time! At 10,000 feet in elevation there are many peaks and valleys that show the back country of Western Colorado. From spring to winter the sights are endless. Spring flowers along the lakeside, cool summers while fishing, the autumn Aspen trees that are golden, and the pristine snowbanks!! Ski, snowmobile, hike, and fish are just a few activities to enjoy on this plateau. In the twillight hours the sunsets upon the mountain and the color of the moutain changes from purple to pink, true Purple Mountain Majesty!

We went to Grand Mesa Lodge for an afternoon of snowmobiling. Initially we were going to go independent, but then decided to join Mike's guided tour. We were apprehensive to join a guided group (even though we are just beginners) because we didn't want to be stuck in a group that went maximum 15 mph for the whole 3 hours--ugh! The group had 7 snowmobiles in it with Mike at the front and another guide bringing up the back.

Would definitely recommend or take the tour again. We had an excellent group and even if there had been some slow people Mike takes you to plenty of areas where you can have at it and go whatever speed you wish.

The necessary accessories are included in the rental i.e. snow boots, helmets, and outer clothing. The machines are well maintained as is the accessories. There is not a restaurant on site, but there is a shop where you can some basic snacks and beverages.

“Incredible mountain beauty and recreation”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

The Grand Mesa is a treasure of peaks, ridges, meadows and lakes. It provides water to the valley below, recreation in all seasons including excellent skiing and hiking, and much beauty and tranquility.
