“Skiing Powderhorn”

Perfect family skiing. Affordable, not snobish, and a great place for the beginners. Staff are great and the mountain is beautiful. My favorite thing to do on this mountain is to bike to the top in the fall!

“The most beautiful mountain I know of!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

This is the largest flat top mountain in the world, lots of wild animals, they run loose, lot's of lake's filled with wonderful trout, wonderful camp grounds and there are some cabin rentals, great hiking,it's one of the most beautiful mountains in the whole state at near ten thousand feet high. It offer's hunting, fishing, sking and just plain relaxing, lot's of lake's, it's one of God's delite's and you feel it when you are there. Take the kids and let them have a ball, I dearly love this place, when you go you will know why.

“Scenery that goes on forever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

The Mesa is an experience all in itself. Spectacular vistas, fresh air and something to see around every bend. Commercialism and rampant tourism have yet to tarnish the Mesa area and it allows you to experience Colorado and its outdoor bounty to the fullest.

“Highest Flattop Mountain in the World”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2012

We took the "Lands End" road up the center of the mountain. Entrance is in Whitewater, Colorado. The fall colors were spectacular!! A bit of a winding dirt road, but worth the extra effort. We climbed to the top and reached the Ranger's Station. Overlooking the Grand Valley/Grand Junction area, is absolutely breathtaking. Awesome photo op's. Be sure to pack some trail mix with nuts for the dozens of overly friendly chipmunks. They were eating right out of our hands! Lots of lakes for fishing, cabin rentals available, and a couple of Lodge's with restaurants.
