We found their dinner menu to be completely disappointing. Not only are the types of dishes limited, but the food was dry and tasteless. We decided to try their lunch menu, which was better in terms of options, but similar in poor quality. The sandwiches were overcooked, crisp to the point of impossible to chew. Very unfortunate.

Sunday night and out of corn chowder, oysters, and lasagna-bummer! Had penne pasta with seafood and it was good but a little bland. The Seven Trails white wine tasted like bad apples.

The menu is extensive. I would try to eat around 11 or 11:30 as it filled up quickly as it got to be noon. Would eat there again.

Tom, the world renoun chef from Italy is now opening a five-star restaurant at the Winter Park Hotel. The food is exquisite and includes delicious appetizers such as calamari, artichoke & spinich dip, and mussels. Entrees include a bowtie pasta with salmon and voldka sauce, calamari, shirimp and talapia in a tempura batter, talapia coated with egg wash and seasoned bread crumbs, a buffalo meatloaf that is to die for, as well as burgers, chicken sandwiches and gourmet soups. Everyone who used to frequent the Seven Trails Grill must now go to find Tom at the Winter Park Hotel and sample his newest menu. We will continue to dine at the Winter Park Hotel where there is a delightful view of the mountain from your dinning table.

We have season ski passes to Solvista so we tried the restaurant a couple of years ago....and we've been going back ever since. Over the top good! Once we leave Denver and start the drive up, our kids start talking about the calamari they are going to order as an app:-) Order anything from fine dining (the lamb is outstanding) to kids food (chicken fingers make our 9 year old happy) and you will no doubt find something for everyone in your party. As for atmosphere, you can't beat it. Outdoor seating in summer with view of the lifts and indoor seating in winter with wonderful fireplace. Great bar too. Just writing this review makes me hungry!
