Description: Greek-American dining in a historic rustic-chic brick building with a bar, fireplace & views. Granby Colorado's first brick building was built in 1972, courtesy of W.H. "Willy" Wood. Through the years, this location on Hwy 40 has served our residents with goods to make life more enjoyable. The building had previously been everything from a general store, grocery store, hardware store, and most recently, a design center. Now as this historic building houses our Brickhouse 40, we hope to continue the proud tradition. We pride ourselves with fresh and creative food, friendly service, and an environment that makes you want to sit back and relax a while. Come join our family here at Brickhouse 40 and let us take care of all your wants and needs.

What a pleasant surprise to find this cozy little dining establishment situated in the town of Granby. From a warm fireplace greeting the winter traveler to a delicious fare satisfying one’s tummy this comfy eatery is a must. Good service and menu to please anyone. Try the tuna and you will not be disappointed.

The ambience in this historic building, which was recently a home design center, is eclectic as is its menu. But everything we tasted was excellent. Wish i could stay around for their cooking and tasting classes they will be offering.

We ended up here because the pizza joint down the road was closed. This restaurant serves a variety of cuisine, but their focus was on Greek food. We had the gyro bites, which was a pita sliced in 8 pieces with all the gyro fixins to make little gyros. It was tasty. We also had the osso bucco, fall off the bone, and lamb chops, jut the right cripsiness. All were very good. The prices were fairly reasonable, comparable to Outback. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This was my second trip to this restaurant in the small town of Granby. The first visit after a day of Ride the Rockies biking was good, but given how hungry we were, any food seemed spectacular. But I remembered liking the pizza so I decided to bring the family back while we were up in the mountains. It appears to be a very high end restaurant based on the interior which is somewhat of a suprise given that Granby is a small mountain town. But the decor is very nice in both the bar and sitting areas. I was a bit leery of bringing 2 young kids to a restaurant like that, but we were wonderfully surprised to see the kids menu and what it entails. They go out of their way to keep the kids "entertained" with food during the meal. The appetizer of cheerios and mandarin oranges was great and they even include a wet wipe on the plate to deal with the aftermath of oranges. Then they were able to color on the paper table cloth covering. The final piece was the decorate your own cookie for dessert. Made my kids day for sure.
All that said, the pizza was again very good (Mama Maria's) and the sampler appetizer was very large and very good with a huge selection of various items with a Greek flavor. We didn't try any main course dishes, so I can't speak to those like other reviewers. Our service was very good, but from the other reviews, it sounds like that might be hit or miss depending on the server. The restaurant is not cheap, but the food was great and we all enjoyed. We would come back again.
