Simple questions re: food ingredients seemed liked a burden to the management who didn't bother checking for sure on a few things specifically the soft serve ice cream (egg allergy) for my nieces. Told it does have eggs and later when we were home we searched the website and found it did NOT contain eggs. A simple phone call or ingredient check could have answered the question and all 9 of us would've had ice cream after a fun day of boating

A great local spot on Lake Granby. The place is a true bar and grill but they can put out a lunch special that will truly surprise! Like an open-faced roast beef sandwich that is better than any other I've had! Good folks and a chef who comes out to check on you! Check it out!

View was great overlooking Granby Lake with the moored boats in sight. Hubby had the burger and was happy with it. He also had a cup of the clam chowder and was very pleased with the taste. I had the halibut fish sandwich on a ciabatta bun. Usually you get cod on a fish sandwich so I was happily surprised at the different taste of the halibut. The fries came with skins on which I liked a lot. We will go back.

The prime rib at Mackinaw's is exceptional and one serving with an extra salad is more than enough for both of us. We ordered ours medium rare and it came out perfectly. Service was great and the views of the lake, high country mountains and marina out their huge picture windows unbeatable. The Marina has changed hands but the quality staff there and at Mackinaw's has remained and we strongly recommend this special place. They are only open from April 15 to October 15 along with the adjacent Indian Peaks Marina. If you're just passing through, a local or summer visitor you should plan at least one Saturday night prime rib here. You won't be disappointed.

Mackinaws is a regular stop for us on our frequent visits to Grand Lake in the summer. They have without a doubt the most spectacular views of any place in northern Colorado with big picture windows looking out on Lake Granby and the Continental Divide. They are located right on Hwy 34 adjacent to Grand Elk Marina and open from May 15 through October 15. Give them a try on your way across the Rockies.
