“Great sandwiches”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2011

One of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten!

The menu board is a little overwhelming on a first visit with so many options and seating is limited, but a great little place on the downtown street of Golden.

Close to the beautiful path with many bronze sculptures on the Clear Creek River. A must to walk!

“Just another turkey sandwich”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2010

My dad was visiting and he likes to try new places. We went there for lunch. The place is tiny - plan on eating elsewhere as there are only a few tables and people like to sit and chat - even with a long line of patrons waiting for tables. We ended up eating on a public bench outside - not a good option on a bad weather day.

The sandwiches were decent but nothing special. I had a build-your-own turkey sandwich. It reminded me a bit of Spicy Pickle - a good local chain. We tried the brownies too after all the hype. To be honest, we weren't impressed. Kind of dry and left a very strong (but not good) chocolate aftertaste. The Ghiradelli brownie mix I buy at Costco makes brownies that are way better.

“A buffalo butty & the best chocolate brownies I've ever tasted!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2010

I popped in for a late lunch during my stay near Golden - I'd never tried buffalo so went for that option. You could go every day for weeks and have something different each day there's that much choice!

I had a half sandwich which was huge and crammed full of buffalo meat, Swiss cheese & sauerkraut followed by an immense chocolate brownie (a proper one, not one of those pathetic efforts we get in the UK) which set me up for the rest of the day.

The staff were friendly, efficient and judging by the queue the place is popular. Highly recommended...

“This small space packs a big punch!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2010

We wandered Washington Ave our first day in Golden, stomachs growing at mid-day. As we approached D'deli the line was out the door and our hotel desk foodie friend was exiting with sandwich in hand. We got in line...best food we ate during our stay. This place does it right, starting with the dense old world crusty breads, chewy and soft in the center. The topping choices were endless...fresh basil!! artichoke hearts!! fresh sprouts!! Seating is limited, no problem, walk to Clear Creek and enjoy the fresh air and the best sandwich you will ever eat.

“D'deli is D'delightful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2010

How is it that a Deli is the highest rated restaurant in Golden Colorado? Once you eat there you will understand... the food is fresh, delicious and inexpensive and the staff is funny... plus the outdoor seating is wonderful.

We ate in 3 places while in Golden visiting CSM & this was our favorite.
