“Nothing remarkable”
Reviewed April 25, 2013 via mobile

Clean and presentable. Rooms dated but reasonably well equipped. No safe. Pleasant and helpful staff. WiFi good but expensive. Most hotels of this calibre offer free WiFi. Rather expensive considering located in Golden rather than Denver. Breakfast is also an extra and charged but is quite good. after paying for Internet connection and breakfast could probably have stayed at. A better class hotel nearer town for the same price.

I spent 5 nights in this hotel during a business trip for a sales meeting.
The quality is lower than what you normally expect from Marriott, especially for the rooms that are quite small and with basic furniture, but still absolutely OK.
On the other hand this hotel is located in a small town close to Denver (20 minutes drive), on a main highway, very well connected (walking distance) to a big shopping mall (Colorado Mills Mall) where European tourists can spend wisely their money taking advantage of cheaper prices and of currency exchange ratio.
The hotel has its own restaurant, bar, Starbucks corner, gym, pools (indoor and outdoor).
The lobby is very nice, with a masterpiece fireplace in the center.
I had a very good experience showing that in USA customer satisfaction is always number 1 priority. When I arrived (from Italy) it was night, I was tired but hungry and wanted to order room service. I picked up the phone but it didn't work, so I went to the reception to order the food and to inform that my phone had a problem. In a matter of 5 minutes I got an engineer to repair the phone, in a matter of 15 minutes I had my food. Then on the morning after I found under my door a letter from the hotel manager apologizing for the inconvenient and offering me a full breakfast free of charge at their restaurant as compensation. Be sure you'll never ever find the same kindness and customer care in Italy or in Europe generally.

I stayed here for 3 nights while on business. Must have been off season as the hotel appeared to be vacant. Despite the recent updates, the hotel had an old feel about it. The resteraunt, pool, fitness center, bar area were all empty - felt a bit creepy given the size of the hotel. The heat light in the bathroom flickered and the sink gurgled when draining, showing sigh of age, however, the bed was comfortable and the few staff I came across were pleasant. Overall, I would say this was an average experience, but I would find a different hotel to stay at next time.

Ok... Hotels have to sell rooms to stay in business... With that said, just about every web site the lowest I could get was around $110. When verbally asking at the desk I beg for AAA, CDL, AARP or a TEXACO Card. I get a better rate here in person than I can on the web.

The rate is higher on a weeknight but if your stay goes into the weekend ask for that rate for all nights. The bible says "you have not because you ask not".

It is worth it for around $100 but not $150 or more. You have to pay for Internet and breakfast, but it has great access to the highway.

Nice enough hotel, good location for us. However the room rate is way to high for what you get. Hotel is very average, they are making efforts to be a very upscale hotel but fall short. Many so called lesser hotels in the Marriott family offer much more for much less. I hate having to pay for things that are included at 90% of other hotels such as wi-fi and breakfast. It was not a small charge for these items either. Hotel is very clean and staff was very helpful but $13 a day for wi-fi kinda broke he camels back. Maybe less candy and cookies at check-in and in stead provide more useful services in the nightly rate. Not sure if we will stay here again based on what we feel is gouging the customer.

Room Tip: Ask for room close to lobby or you could be in for a long walk.

For $200.00 per night you would think you would at least get a cold breakfast. It was very nosiy the rooms were not as nice as ones $70.00 cheaper. I will not stay here again. Not worth the price. The breafast and dinner prices were to high.

This is decent hotel with a great staff. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel itself feels a bit like a Marriott skin on top of an older motel skeleton. Most of the rooms are either close to the noise of an ice machine, elevator, or have line of sight to the highway. They have done a nice job of outfitting the rooms. The restaurant serves a good breakfast. There are plenty of the standard eateries across the highway (I was informed that you can't walk there, but the hotel runs a shuttle to them for convenience).

It's a decent stay, but could probably be better with some infrastructure improvements.
